Summer Thursday's at W South Beach

With another great week of Summer Thursdays under our belt, we are thrilled to say that our new weekly party is doing as well as we expected. Our strategic choice of Open Format music, differentiating ourselves and our party from the rest of the beach, is working, as the local party goers and the vacationers frequenting our party are loving it. Our new partnership with SMAC Entertainment and Michael Capponi & Michael Martin is going very well. Our two crowds are mixing seamlessly, creating new synergies and a fun, high energy party every week. Our events at WET & Living Room are creating great buzz around town, giving locals and hotel guests a more relaxed nightlife option. Being able to get a drink in a beautiful, calm setting in Miami beach is rare, however the W property fills this void, and it shows. We are looking forward to seeing everybody out this week for Summer Thursdays at the W South beach. Drinks at WET & Living Room from 10pm-2am. Dancing in WALL 11pm-5am.

Internet Week: Celebrating Cyberspace In Style

If you've been on the New York City nightlife scene for a while, you'll know that every other week is dedicated to celebrating something mundane yet special that affects our everyday lives. Alas, this week is no different as it is Internet Week. This celebration of everything media has been in existence since 2008, as a city wide festival that hosts an array of events honoring different areas of the web and the digital world.

The first event I attended was a laid back yet event at the W Hotel in Times Square for an exhibit celebrating Instagram photos. Yes, that free photography app that IPhone and Android users were arguing about a few weeks ago on Twitter. And although, the displayed photos failed to be the highlight of the night (the complimentary drinks were, especially a fruity-flavored one: Lo-Fi, and a 6 foot drag queen who wore a dress made out of Instagram pictures and a purse constructed with used metrocards), it was a nice kick-off for the celebratory week.

Night At The Museum: Brooklyn's New Unlikely Dance floor

What do you get when you mix hipsters, blue and white collar workers, glam divas and art enthusiasts in a museum parking lot? If you're guessing First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, then you, my friend, are correct. For a couple of years now the Target sponsored event, which is free to the general public, has grown to be a new staple of what we call Brooklyn's new renaissance. Every first Saturday of the month, an eclectic mix of people gather at the art enclave to partake in festivities that go from 5 to 11 pm.
