When one thinks of Kmart, fashion may not be the first thing that comes to mind. But, that couldn't be further from the truth. With gorgeous lines by the saucy Sofia Vergara and beautiful Jaclyn Smith - Kmart Fashion is hotter than ever. We couldn't help but notice a gorgeous blouse and pencil skirt that had an upscale feel without the upscale price!
Without the right bra, your look is in trouble. We also are totally impressed with these incredible Maidenform camisoles that lift and smooth. They are the best of both in one lace trimmed creation! A wardrobe must-have!
Luxe denim for a reasonable price is where it's at and we are loving Old Navy's coated denim. They fit like a dream and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your mood or social schedule. Add a cozy sweater and fab boot and you're all set!
Owning a pair of amazing kicks that can be styled a multitude of ways is where it's at. We are totally digging these street chic styles by VANS. Their outerwear selection is something to take note of too. This is where function and fashion meet! Have fun with your look.
In times like these, when the world seems like it's all risqué Miley's, sexy Britney's, and artsy Gaga's (who we love),there are a few new comers taking the style scene by storm, and that's without angering the parents of toddlers in tiaras, who rely on pop culture to set the example for the children.Among the fledgling few is Ariana Grande, the little girl with the big voice. The singer got her start in Hollywood as an actress playing "Cat Valentine" on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" and currently reprises the role on the network's spin-off series "Sam and Cat". Often compared to, and fondly referred to as the new "Mariah", Ariana and her stellar vocal ability bursted on the pop music scene with her number one single "The Way" featuring Mac Miller, and quickly followed by releasing her debut effort, "Yours Truly", the first record by a female vocalist to open at number one on the billboard charts since Kesha's "Animal" in January of 2010. No strager to the teen scene, Ariana is best known for her infectous laughter and, at times long fiery red locks, which she always wears half up and half down, She is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most watched fashion "it" girls, inspiring millions to copy her seductively sweet yet wholesome style. With an affinity for poof dresses, and midriff baring seperates, Ariana's style is a subtle blend of feminine colors like cotton candy pinks, and bright yellows paired with flirtatous prints, saucy red lips, and delicate accessories. But this pop princess isn't all bubble gum, She looks scorching in sky-high heels, and like other girls her age enjoys a bit of sex appeal, often showing her stomach and sporting short shorts like in the music video for her second single, "Baby, I". For her latest video for the single, "Right There", she channeled the shakesperean era, modeling a long victorian-esque gown as well as her signiture hairstyle. The video features hip hop superstar, Big sean, and model/actor Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes, Arnold's son). Wether it's playful dress, or sultry pant suit, the one thing Ariana Grande stays true to, is herself. She's a refreshing alternative to the overly-sexed fashions of today, and gets the gold star for effortless beauty and trendy fashion. See Slikdeshow for more pics! Who is your favorite fashion blogger?! Recently, Joonbug attended the popular fashion & beauty conference Simply Stylist in New York City at The Park Central Hotel. To kick off the day, HauteLook hosted a networking brunch where guests listened to Public Relations maven, and founder of The Farley Project, Elissa Kravetz, speak about “Finding your Passion”. Following the brunch, ladies took their seats for the panels. We also had the opportunity to chat with many of our favorite bloggers and fashion icons, such as Jay Manuel.
This season it's all about that boho chic look. The wonderful aspect to this sense of style is that you can look ultra-stylish and it doesn't have to break the bank. Joonbug checked in with celebrity stylist Derek Warburton who shows us, along with model Marisa Juliette, how to score Boho Chic on a budget! This allows you left over money to meet up with your besties for a fab day or night out on the town! Here's what he had to say about scoring high-style on a budget: An easy way to score that bohemian vibe is with a fabulous headpiece. We love this flower halo by That Madonna Girl. Add in some bronzed makeup and liquid liner -- Art Liner by Lancome is incredible and really opens the eyes. This floral dress by Old Navy is a steal --I think it's $10 right now! Add in a fab faux fur vest, such as this one by H&M and you are good to go! One dress 30 different ways is a stylists dream. Hipknoties is also so versatile and fits every body shape. This color is so seasonal and really warms up the look. Add a cool pair of aviators and a fun bag and you're all set to wow. If it gets chilly at night, put on a chic cardigan. Statement necklace is a fab find from H&M. Coated denim is a style staple this season. I love this pair by Old Navy. You're getting that high-style look for an amazing price. Add on a statement scarf and tie in the look with the perfect boot! I'm feeling CAT Footwear and their fab selection of boots. You can dress these up or dress them down. Many of my clients complain about wearing high-heels. This way you get a lot of style and you still have a comfortable heel! Lace and see through pieces are another trend you will see a lot of this fall. If you're going to wear a sheer top, you better have the right bra! Go to a trusted brand like Maidenform. When I have to style big celebrity clients for the red carpet, I know that I'm going to find what I need from them. This black comfort Devotion bra is a wardrobe must that I keep in my stylist kit! Accent your eye, then go more subtle with the lip. I always tell my clients to use a liquid eyeliner if they aren't fully trained in doing makeup. The liquid liners like one of my favorites from Lancome -- Art Liner is an easy and stylish way to update your look into the holidays. You can do a thin line across your entire upper lid/eye, or accent the outer edges of your upper lid for more of a wow factor.
Last week Yumi Kim held their press preview for the upcoming year’s collections. So much silken swag will be coming out in the next few months, and we can’t wait to share it with you! The Yumi Kim preview was by far the most adorable preview Joonbug has ever attended. Colorful candies, bubbling champagne, fruit kabobs, cupcakes, and the brand’s signature yorkie Yumi gave the space an atmosphere of girlish wonder. Fashion bloggers and press alike “oohed” and “ahed” the gorgeous pieces. Kim Phan, half of the line’s name-sake and the designer, was the most gracious and down-to-earth host. Wardrobe racks dripping in vibrant silks lined the walls. Each rack showcased a different month’s collection. Now is the time to check out the Yumi Kim website, as they just released a ton of stunning fall looks!
