A.P.C.
On the streets this week, there have been sights of denim, studs, stripes and mint green everywhere and we love how these street chic fashionistas have incorporated the latest trends into their personal sense of style. Take a peek at some of the amazing bold looks we found and get inspiration to rock these styles in your summer wardrobe!
Mint Green Mania
The cool mint tone is everywhere this season, from accessories, to dresses to shoes and we love how one of our fav bloggers, Blair of Atlantic-Pacific incorporated an elegant mint green dress with some nude shoes and a light brown tote for her day at the Kentucky Derby. Hundreds of LED lit balloons marked the sky as we gazed over what had become our home over the past four days. It was the last show, the final push. We were running on fumes and anticipation after a weekend full of countless standout acts. This was the set we had been waiting for since we were fourteen, sneaking Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg CD’s into our sister’s Walkman to memorize every explicit detail of what would become so monumental so quickly. As we stood amongst the masses in complete disbelief, the entire weekend flashed before our eyes.
Apple has its own specific kind of of fans. We’ve all seen them, known, or been one of these fans. They’re part of a phenomenon that made technology trendy. They love their iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. They dig the sterile smell of a posh Apple store and they wear their white earbuds with pride. Apple products have become as much a fashion statement as they are a piece of technology. Slap an Apple logo onto just about anything and it might become an instant success. The people at Air Aroma are taking things a step further. They’ve bottled the essense of Apple products.

Bird, Williamsburg
If you haven’t already been to Bird we’d be surprised, but in the case you don’t frequent Brooklyn boutiques we’re here to tell you to go. They carry all our favorite labels like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Isabel Marant, and new arrival Gretchen Jones just to name a few. There are also menswear collections including (but not limited to) Band of Outsiders, Billy Reid, Paul Smith, and Shipley & Halmos. The LEED-certified Williamsburg location regularly features art and photography exhibits and the occasional shop-in-shop combining creativity with their goods for a shopping environment we could spend all afternoon in. Check out their Cobble Hill and Park Slope locations as well.
Thank goodness some of the best performances were available via live streaming coverage this year at Coachella. For all you poor souls unable to make it this year, we got ya covered. If you missed our Part I coverage go here. Otherwise plow forward for our Part II highlights.
Day 2 included coverage of the epic Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre set from Sunday night featuring a hologram performance by the departed Tupac Shakur! So eerily real it sent shivers down our spines. Eminem, 50cent, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrik Lamar were also some of the best performances.
Last night Twitter informed us of Empellon Cocina's new brunch menu starting this weekend. Empellon Cocina, located in the East Village, opened in February and is the second authentic Mexican eatery from Alex Stupack. Empellon Cocina will offer a full brunch menu along with morning cocktails, and aguas-frecscas for those who might have stumbled in straight from the club. The menu will also include delicious breakfast and midday entrees such as buttermilk-masa pancakes with smoked maple syrup and mole poblano butter and slow-poached eggs with toasted challah bread and green chorizo gravy. The brunch menu, just as their dinner menu, will not offer any tacos whatsoever. Of course this is alarming to some diners but with things like melted Tetilla cheese with lobster, tomato frito, and kol who needs a breakfast taco?
Sure it's only days until this year's Coachella in Indio, California, but it's never too late to post a final lineup! This year, the schedule is tight and some hard decisions will have to be made. Do you want to see Radiohead or A$ap Rocky, Avicii or Dr. Dre with Snoop Dog? To tell you the truth, every decision is a good decision when the lineup is as good as it is, but that won't make deciding any easier.

It was the fashion trend seen 'round the world during this past fashion week brigade. The bright, boxy bag made repeat appearances on the arms of fashionistas all over. Fashion bloggers in the know such as Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere, Atlantic-Pacific’s Blair, and Carolina of Fashion Squad, have illustrated the many ways you can style this fun springtime accessory.
