If you don't see the powerful trio, Above & Beyond as pure British Trance gods than you might be missing out on what it is to actually experience and hear good music. There are truly amazing trance producers out there, but A&B just generates a special connection to their audience. Their new video for "Alchemy" featuring Zoë Johnston shows just that.

The video tells an emotional tale of a relationship that diminishes when a woman finds her lover with someone else. TATW450 Group Therapy India

When Jono, Tony and Paavo, the brilliant trio that makes up Above & Beyond, announced they would be celebrating their 450th TATW radio show with a huge event in India on Nov. 10, naturally, we all looked to our schedules and tried to concoct several ways on how to get to India and be apart of this amazing event. In conjuction with Submerge, TATW450 will take the form of a 8-hour marathon broadcast with a host of Anjunabeats' trailblazer acts playing alongside. "India, its people and music have always had a special place in our hearts," said A&B's Paavo Siljamaki. "Not only does the dance music culture span thousands of years there, we've witnessed incredible growth of the electronic music there since we first started Anjunabeats. TATW450 will be broadcast from the country that was the starting point for everything we do. Let your friends know, join us online and together in India we'll all make this our biggest global celebration to date." Now, Above & Beyond, along with Submerge, have announced the rest of the DJ acts that will be joining them for this year's TATW450 Group Therapy India in Bangalore. The line up includes Mat Zo, Norin & Rad, Andrew Bayer and Jody Wisternoff. The very versatile, Mat Zo arrives off his most exciting year yet, having played alongside Above & Beyond at Group Therapy events in London and Miami. His debut album and a highly anticipated collab with Porter Robinson are both planned for early 2013. Andrew Bayer will bring his genre-blurring progressive and electronica sound to the event. Named the breakthrough producers of 2011 by Above & Beyond, Norin & Rad have remixed the soundtrack for Halo 4 and their fierce progressive and trance productions are consistently in Above & Beyond's sets. Lastly, the legendary Jody Wisternoff (one half of Way Out West) was recently announced as the mixer of Anjunadeep 05. He will shake things up with his carefully obtained progressive deepness. The two-hour headlining set will represent the first full Group Therapy production in India, following their memorable set at Sunburn Festival last December. Trance Kings Above & Beyond do AC

For many New Yorkers, the feeling of attempting to navigate through Pacha's jam-packed dance floor is, uncomfortably, a familiar one. In a city that boasts some of the most impressive lineups weekend after weekend, sacrifices must sometimes be made to take full advantage of all that New York clubs have to offer. So last weekend, we decided to venture out of the confines of Manhattan and explore some new territory.

When word first spread that Above & Beyond was to play at Mixx, one of the two clubs in Atlantic City's highly-esteemed Borgata hotel, a road trip down the turnpike seemed like the only logical plan of action. While most usually associate our neighboring state with MTV's favorite fist-pumping clubbers, AC has always stood out in a distinct way of its own. And lately, after the launch of a massive new advertising campaign, it is clear that the identity of the city has shifted from that of a shady gambling mecca to more of an epic destination. Visitors are urged to "do AC," a vacation spot that is all-encompassing, and one that offers less of a predetermined culture and more of a clean slate. It is here that experiences are created, and whether spending a weekend at the heartbreak hotel or hitting the jackpot for the first time, AC can mean anything to anyone at any time.

An Electric Zoo

Article by Sarah Harper

Usually when an eclectic mix of ravers cross paths, they find themselves wired with different brainwaves and thinking patterns, disagreeing and interested in opposite genres whether it be dubstep, progressive house or trance. But when the conversation between the two parties leads to Electric Zoo, surprisingly, the two-different minded personalities can usually come together in agreement: Electric Zoo is an electronic music festival, designed for whatever type of sub genere of dance music you’d like to delve into.

Taking place from 8/31-9/1 on Randall’s Island in New York City, Electric Zoo boasted a prestigious line-up of the top DJ and producers in the world, a sold-out crowd and unbelievable electronic music. For three-days straight, attendees dressed in absurd neon attire, drenched themselves in glitter and danced around in animalistic ways while world-renowned DJ/producers dropped their latest beats and high-tech LED visuals.

Inside Electric Daisy Las Vegas: The Talent, The Production, The Party

Ten miles of darkness and 2000 cars separated us from the festival we had only dreamt about. As we stared forward, excited and anxious, there was a faint flicker towards the sky and then the familiar explosion of fireworks in the distance. A roar ripped through the desert from the cars around us. Indian chiefs and their topless girlfriends yelled and cheered out their windows, as packs of neon spattered fur boots ran by on foot. This was the scene I had heard so much about. The one that would save dance music events

Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival has consistently been remarked as the premier Electronic Music festival in the country. With steady competition from Ultra Music Festival , and the multitude of other events that have developed in the past few years, claiming that title is quite a feat. Insomniac’s founder, Pasquale Rotella, has rose through the ranks of California promoters to a point of utmost success. He has absolutely earned his stripes, with the immense scale of his events and consequences this sometimes brings. The risk involved with such massive gatherings as these has made it necessary for Pasquale to impose a new standard for safety at these events, both at the gates and in the festival. In both appearance and functionality, EDC proved to be nothing less than the world-class event that was beckoned for.
