Life's A Beach for ALDO Spring 2012

ALDO's vibrant ads shot by Terry Richardson exude the carefree attitude and excitement of a tropical vacation --reminding us of how badly we need one right about now!

French-Canadian model Anais Pouliot of Trump Model Management, has some serious fun in the sun alongside a slew of vacation-y props, from palm trees and totem poles, to over-sized popsicles. And, yes, even a big ol’ pile of bananas! In case there was any doubt, these ALDO ads confirm that it is all about color, color and more color this season. Styled by Sabina Schreder, Pouliot is shown in a variety of bright hues, however not to be outdone by the true stars of the campaign: the shoes!

Pairing a sleek dress with a fun pair of sparkly heels has holiday party written all over it. The Red Stiletto Strut

With Miami Fashion Week coming up, we've been getting a bit antsy with anticipation. Instead of sitting around and counting the days until our fashion cravings will finally be satisfied, we decided to see what else was going on in the South Florida fashion world in the mean time. That's when we heard about The Red Stiletto Strut--a fashion fundraiser for the awareness of women and heart disease. Not only would the event give us an excuse to strap on our devilish red pumps, but a red shoe bar and fashion presentation all for a good cause? Yes, please. From raffle prizes that almost seemed too good to be true, to tasty hors d’oevres courtesy of Blue Martini and Piñon Grill, The Red Stiletto Strut squeezed some much needed fashion into our February.

Military Must

The military trend has hit the streets hard. Everywhere I look in the city, lace-up, military-inspired boots are appearing on the feet of even the most girliest of girls.

These boots are being paired with literally everything and anything that comes out of a closet. Leggings, skinnies, and floral dresses are just a few companions of these masculine must-haves.

Try them out for yourself, skip your usual pumps and give your favorite dress a casual edge - or for a subtle look, pair them with skinnies and your favorite fall sweater.

GenderBender: Elvis Presley

Don't be afraid, this is not another fat Elvis costume with a tacky white jumpsuit. We love young, hunky Elvis, so what better outfit to mimic than his famous head-to-toe leather?

And lucky for the last minute ladies, this get-up can be put together with a few faux favorites:

1.The faux-leather jacket: It can be real leather or a fabulous faux. Just slip it on over a black tank and you're already halfway done!

2. The pants: Faux-leather leggings are everywhere this fall. Wherever your shopping may lead you, Forever 21 to Bloomingdales, you are sure to find a pair. They are a perfect way to womanize your Elvis look.

Jessica Stam For A Second Season With Aldo

With the recent outbreak of campaign videos from high-end labels, we find it refreshing to see Jessica Stam and Mat Gordon flirtatiously dance for a label we actually can afford: Aldo. Aldo teamed up with the two supermodels, to feature their Fall 2010 accessories and footwear collection. This is Stam’s second season with the label – shot again by Terry Richardson. What makes the campaign so special isn’t the models shared Canadian background, yet Gordon’s dream come true: he’s always wanted to work with Jessica Stam. But, we ask, who hasn't?

Shop the collection online today, see the video below and more of the campaign at Nitrolicious.
