We haven’t seen much of 26-year-old, Amanda Bynes since she retired from acting in 2010.
Well on Friday morning, Amanda Bynes was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, as confirmed by Access Hollywood.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the former actress was pulled over in West Hollywood, at the intersection of Robertson Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.
Bynes was driving a black BMW and tried to cut off a POLICE CAR on the right when she allegedly hit the right, rear quarter of the cruiser! No damage was reported, but police claim the incident resulted in minor paint damage on both cars and led to Bynes being pulled over.
As with the red carpet at any award show, we have our best, and we have our worst. Bynes took to her Twitter this morning and broke the news, "Everyone: I have the worst news to tell you ... little angel got out of my house somehow and is LOST. If anyone finds her I BEG you to please contact me thru twitter, I will give a reward."
Amanda Bynes, who's only 24 years old, announced to the world this past weekend that she's officially retiring from acting. She said, "I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it." Anyone remember What I Like About You? Thankfully that's on repeats at 1 a.m.
Amanda's actually been a breath of fresh air from the crotch-flashers of today (ahem Lindsay), staying low-key and choosing not to partake in late-night binge drinking. At least she didn't end up on the extreme sides of the spectrum (refer to previous sentence), or like Kirk Cameron, who's now trying to be Jesus or something.
Whatever you decide to do Amanda, we'll be right behind you. We still have 'What A Girl Wants,' 'Sydney White' and 'She's The Man,' on DVD to keep us entertained in the meantime.
Amanda Bynes at the young age of 24 has officially decided to retire from acting for good. Amanda made her announcement on Saturday via Twitter.
"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've retired," she said.
Bynes, whose latest film Easy A hits theaters this Fall added, "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been a part of. I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."

As the ever-growing outlet of social networking sites such as Twitter continues to gain popularity among celebrities, we mere mortals gain a better look into the brains (although sometimes miniscule) and lives of the stars. While some celebrities such as Jim Carrey have made utter fools of themselves via Twitter, others have proven that they have absolutely nothing to bring to the table but sheer stupidity in the form of Tweets. The celebrity, who by far, takes the cake for insignificant/irrelevant tweets? Amanda Bynes. Not only did she recently tweet to her 322, 000 + followers "I like to cut", but she also announced that she is writing a book that will include quotes from all the people that inspire her. While many tweeters generally quote people next to the likes of Ghandi or Albert Einstein, Bynes seemed to think Angelina Jolie was worth quoting- not once, but over 6 times in one hour. Bynes' followers are in for a surprise if her tweets about self mutilation and quotes from a home-wrecker continue. Amanda, think before you tweet.
If a designer is only as good as the star who wears her clothes (or bags), then I would say Rebecca must be really good since so many of Hollywood's A-list stars own her bags. Amanda Bynes has reportedly dumped boyfriend and Lauren Conrad sloppy-seconds Doug Reinhardt.
"She ended it. She had had enough," a source close to the actress told Us Magazine. "Her friends didn't trust him. Everyone thought he was using her for celebrity. He was not good, and she was over it. It was definitely her who ended it."
The split might have caught the baseball player by surprise, as he was quoted saying, "Everything is really good. We were just in the Bahamas, and we spent Christmas together… everything's really solid," on Tuesday.
Seems like Reinhardt will have to find a new young celeb to hitch his cart to.
