We wrote yesterday that Amanda Bynes is now out of rehab and looking to attend college for fashion design. We have since learned that she is now enrolled at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, which has campuses all over California including San Francisco, Orange County,Los Angeles and San Diego
Using an alias, she will have an escort with her at all times to take her two FIDM classes at their Orange County Campus.
Actress Amanda Bynes has completed inpatient treatment and is back living with her parents. She was first hospitalized in July and put on a 5150 psychiatric hold after starting a fire in a driveway and was then moved to a rehab facility for treatment.
Her family’s lawyer Tamar Arminak stated to People Magazine, “Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery” and that "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."
A Los Angeles judge has decided that Amanda Bynes is competent enough to stand trial for DUI charges stemming from April 2012, when she had a run-in with a parked police car. The actress was originally supposed to appear in court on September 24th, but her lawyer stated she was unable to comprehend the charges she was facing. Her lawyer then asked her case to be reevaluated by the mental health court.
Bynes has been on an involuntary psych hold since July after she started a fire in her neighbor’s driveway. Her mother was awarded a temporary conservatorship over her but eventually withdrew from it so doctors could make the best decisions about her treatment.
The actresses next court date is set for January 7.
We haven’t seen much of 26-year-old, Amanda Bynes since she retired from acting in 2010.
Well on Friday morning, Amanda Bynes was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, as confirmed by Access Hollywood.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the former actress was pulled over in West Hollywood, at the intersection of Robertson Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.
Bynes was driving a black BMW and tried to cut off a POLICE CAR on the right when she allegedly hit the right, rear quarter of the cruiser! No damage was reported, but police claim the incident resulted in minor paint damage on both cars and led to Bynes being pulled over.
As with the red carpet at any award show, we have our best, and we have our worst. We’re blown away at the fantastic stylistic choices of rising starlets such as Lily Collins, Selena Gomez, and Leighton Meester. We’re also equally shocked at the ensembles worn by other celebutantes including Nicki Minaj and Jessica Szohr, but our extreme reactions are definitely not positive. No, instead we struggle to believe how anyone can wear mismatched Louboutins, too-tight bustiers, and crazy colored jumpsuits while attempting to be fashionable! Below are our Top 5 nominees for the ‘Worst Dressed’ category at last night’s MTV Movie awards:
If you live in L.A and if you are interested in making some extra money, what follows might interest you. For the other readers across the United States, unless you're a huge fan of Amanda Bynes, this scoop is...useless.
The actress is living a nightmare. Maybe one of the worst day ever. Guess what, her 4-month-old Pomeranian dog Little Angel has gone missing...
Bynes took to her Twitter this morning and broke the news, "Everyone: I have the worst news to tell you ... little angel got out of my house somehow and is LOST. If anyone finds her I BEG you to please contact me thru twitter, I will give a reward."
Amanda Bynes, who's only 24 years old, announced to the world this past weekend that she's officially retiring from acting. She said, "I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it." Anyone remember What I Like About You? Thankfully that's on repeats at 1 a.m.
Amanda's actually been a breath of fresh air from the crotch-flashers of today (ahem Lindsay), staying low-key and choosing not to partake in late-night binge drinking. At least she didn't end up on the extreme sides of the spectrum (refer to previous sentence), or like Kirk Cameron, who's now trying to be Jesus or something.
Whatever you decide to do Amanda, we'll be right behind you. We still have 'What A Girl Wants,' 'Sydney White' and 'She's The Man,' on DVD to keep us entertained in the meantime.
Amanda Bynes at the young age of 24 has officially decided to retire from acting for good. Amanda made her announcement on Saturday via Twitter.
"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've retired," she said.
Bynes, whose latest film Easy A hits theaters this Fall added, "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been a part of. I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."
What do you think? Do you think she’ll return in the future or actually stay away from acting?
As the ever-growing outlet of social networking sites such as Twitter continues to gain popularity among celebrities, we mere mortals gain a better look into the brains (although sometimes miniscule) and lives of the stars. While some celebrities such as Jim Carrey have made utter fools of themselves via Twitter, others have proven that they have absolutely nothing to bring to the table but sheer stupidity in the form of Tweets. The celebrity, who by far, takes the cake for insignificant/irrelevant tweets? Amanda Bynes. Not only did she recently tweet to her 322, 000 + followers "I like to cut", but she also announced that she is writing a book that will include quotes from all the people that inspire her. While many tweeters generally quote people next to the likes of Ghandi or Albert Einstein, Bynes seemed to think Angelina Jolie was worth quoting- not once, but over 6 times in one hour. Bynes' followers are in for a surprise if her tweets about self mutilation and quotes from a home-wrecker continue. Amanda, think before you tweet.
If a designer is only as good as the star who wears her clothes (or bags), then I would say Rebecca must be really good since so many of Hollywood's A-list stars own her bags. Rebecca Minkoff's "morning after bag" seems to be a hit with celebrities like Brittany Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere, Amanda Bynes and Stephanie Pratt, to name a few.
So when I heard that Rebecca Minkoff would be appearing to début her latest collection of designer bags at Saks Fifth Avenue at Dadeland Mall, sponsored by Gen Art (sadly one of the last things in Miami by Gen Art), I knew I had to see her beautiful spring 2010 collection and get an interview with Rebecca. Rebecca Minkoff was hosting a personal appearance at the store where she announced the winner of the sketch competition to win a complimentary Rebecca Minkoff handbag and a chance to have their handbag design chosen by her. How cool is that?
