AWKWARD FAMILY PHOTOS
Wasting time at work is an art form. Take it from someone who reads articles in "print" form so they look less like websites and more like long, important memoranda. Like an exercise regimen, it's not an interest -- it's a lifestyle. If you want to get as little work done as possible, as you've got to prepare.
Time to assemble your cubicle survival kit.
Stapler? Check. Extra pens? Check. Earphones to block out the annoying co-worker who keeps laughing at her friend's hilarious tweet? Check. Now for the real gear: a big important spreadsheet to click over to when your boss walks by...and some awesomely hilarious websites to help you get through lunch. And if laughter is the best medicine, look for the 10 sites with that pack the biggest punch. Here they are.
It's the most wonderful time of the year... for the most terrible photos of the year. We love the holidays. Not only for the presents, family, and food, but for the awkward photos that ensue. Whether it's a shot of someone at the office holiday party who had one too many spiked ciders, the disappointed look on the face of the kid who just received a terrible present, or best of all; the awkward family portrait. The sweaters. The uncomfortable poses. The strained smiles. All priceless. So what better way to celebrate this wonderful time of the year, than with our favorite awkward family photos?
Embarrassing family pictures are one of the great social unifiers. Almost everyone has one. They’re a mix of our most awkward childhood years and the good intentions of family members trying to capture a moment. Most parents will even go out of their way to create a memorable portrait of everyone in the family. Combine matching clothing and anything that seemed like a good idea in the 80s and 90s, however, and we’ve got a recipe for disaster. Sure, it’s heartwarming to see all the kids together, but when half of them look terrified and the backdrop is a series of fake lasers, more is said about the time this photo was taken than what a lovely family you are.
They say it takes all kinds, but some people just take some seriously, inexplicably bad photos.
Fortunately there is a place for us all to look at them, laugh and say, THANK GOD my mom never made me dress up like Star Trek for a family photo...
