Fashionable Expectations ‘Met’ at the MMA Gala 2012

Every year the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the annual gala filled with a-listers, fashion, and art. This year proved (as expected) to be another very fashionable evening. The museum was honoring the long-awaited opening of the Costume Institute exhibition Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.

Visitors described the exhibit as being surreal, where The Cut even explained the video footage of Schiaparelli and Prada talking as, “…beautiful- playing in sharp resolution against the walls, almost like moving paintings.” The exhibit included classic quotes by Schiaparelli and Prada among the displays, as well as the designer duds from Prada shoes (including the latest designs), to the well-preserved antiques by Schiaparelli. As you can imagine, the exhibit itself is gasp-worthy.

Beyoncé is a triple-threat, no doubt about it. She can sing like an angel, her dance moves have caused worldwide pandemonium (how can we forget “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)?) and she has actress and style icon on her resume. She's also one-half of the world’s most popular power couple with husband of 4 years hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and newly minted mother to daughter Blue Ivy. With all this on her plate, the beautiful Texas Native admitted to People Magazine, that she feels most beautiful and with such a sense of purpose, now that she has given birth.

Pregnant Beyonce Embraces it All

Motherhood will be great for Beyonce!

The new mom-to-be opens up about waiting for the right time to get pregnant in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar.

The "Countdown" singer who's also due in February tells the magazine, "It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother. Now God has blessed us with the ultimate."

And the VMA pregnancy announcement was planned too. Beyonce explains, "It was important to me that I was able to do it myself. I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did," the star tells about letting the world see instead of her telling the press. "I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything."

The Official Tracklist For Watch The Throne Is Finally Released

Now that we know Watch The Throne is actually a real, bona fide album that exists in the non-theoretical form, it's about damn time that all of it's pieces start coming together. Last week Hov and Ye released the official artwork album cover, and now the official tracklist has arrived, courtesy of Hov's lifestyle website, Life + Times.

If you compare the actual tracklisting from the first one that leaked, they pretty much look nothing alike. That's not surprising considering the fact that the unofficial version only featured guest appearances from Beyonce (given) and Bruno Mars (a little bit out of place?).

New Album: Beyonce - '4'

Rocking wild blonde locks again, Beyoncé emerges with a wistful tone in her fourth album, 4, released June 28. Within a few minutes of hearing the first tracks on the album, fans will detect a noticeable change in momentum from Beyoncé's last album. 4 is very much a ballad-filled album overflowing with sentimentality and a heavy sense of self-induced maturity.

While I Am… Sasha Fierce also showcased a mature sound, it featured both firm ballads and a handful of up-tempo chart hits that possessed as much emotion as they did spunk. That spunk is what gave Beyoncé that “diva” moniker in the first place. This album, spunk muted, falls somewhat flat in both of these regards.

Exclusive Interview with 106 & Park's DJ Prostyle

DJ Prostyle is no newbie to the music scene, as he’s been propelling his career as a DJ since the tender age of 13. It is no surprise that his name is a combination of the two most essential attributes needed to succeed in today’s music industry—professionalism and style.

This exclusive interview reveals that he not only embodies both of these qualities, but continues to push all boundaries of his career. DJ Prostyle was born in Queens, NY and moved to Orlando, Florida as a young teenager where he began to build his propensity for DJing. After a few years of throwing countless house parties and releasing mixtapes, Prostyle developed a loyal fan base, which ultimately landed him his own show on a college radio station at the age of 16. As his credentials continued to escalate, Prostyle scored another mix show at the age of 18 and his music permeated the airwaves, catapulting him to the 1 mix show in Orlando at the prime time 5pm slot.
