High Line Rink- The High Line
In the end-of-summer heat, you might be reminiscing on that romantic winter night, ice skating at Rockefeller Center and wishing for the hip, young version of it. Well, move over Rockefeller, newly opened High Line Rink revamps the skating scene and although its not ice skating, it’s still a great place to bring friends or a date. Urban in nature, the rink is ringed by trendy lit traffic barricades which gives it a high-energy NYC vibe. If you’re hungry, the rink is conveniently located next to the Lot On Tap which houses some of the best truck food in the city. Admission (plus skates) is $12 for adults and $10 for children. Rental protective pads and skatemates are available. Also available for purchase are helmets and socks.
