Bill's Food & Drink: The newly opened eatery will be hosting a special lunch preview for shoppers in Midtown from 11:30am-5pm, along with an abbreviated dinner menu. Regular lunch service does not begin until December 3rd, so it's your chance to snag some before it gets too crowded.

Spice Market: Take a walking and shopping break and try the specially created Holiday Bento Box for $34, which includes six savory dishes along with two sweet dishes, such as butternut squash soup and a five spice duck confit spring roll. The bento box will be available from 12-4pm.
Arriving at Pacha NYC on Black Friday, the energy was evident before even walking through the doors. The venue was filled with partygoers all ready to dance off their Thanksgiving dinners and leftovers, at the prestigious New York City spot. Awaiting up and coming house DJ duo AN21 & Max Vangeli to headline the Black Friday event.
AN21(born Antoine Joseffson), the brother of Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello, has been working alongside Max Vangeli for the past year caught up with us before getting into the booth at Pacha to tell us a little bit more about themselves and their upcoming projects. Vangeli, named one of the "Top 5 DJs to watch in 2011" by the Top 100 DJ poll on DJMag.com, and AN21 have taken over clubs worldwide with remixes of Swedish House Mafia's Save the World as well as Pendulum's The Island. Both anticipating the gig, they gave the crowd one of the best sets in which I have seen them, if not the best. Feeling the vibes of the club rocking to the music, AN21 even attempted (and succeeded!) in crowd-surfing throughout Pacha's main floor! Definitely a night for the record books, as per usual, at Pacha NYC.
Ah, Thanksgiving. The time of year where families reunite, turkeys are consumed in copius amounts, gluttony ensues... and fellow Americans pepper spray each other to get a moderate discount on an Xbox 360. Anyone eager to hear Lil' Kim's mixtape with their honey bunny on Valentine's Day was not disappointed, unless they planned on getting it for free. Black Friday was released February 14 with a price tag of $9.99.
Lil' Kim tweeted a link to the download but a pay pal link stood between downloaders. Lil' Kim promised the first 100,000 buyers would receive a signed copies in the mail.
The mixtape over features a photoshopped bloody picture of the Queen Bee brandishing a sword, and the top of a head covered in a pink wig; this is assumedly female foe Nicki Minaj.
Local designers are a staple in San Francisco, and the surrounding Bay Area. As the holidays are approaching, mass consumers are coming out in droves to all the sales in major stores. With Black Friday approaching, department stores are getting ready for their sales and the consumers that they draw in. So the question is, where to go to avoid the lines and crazy consumers.
I suggest finding where the local designers sell their wears which are comparable to the prices you will find in the department stores. One of my favorite places to find local designers on the East Bay is in Berkeley on Telegraph Avenue. On any given day of the week you can walk down Telegraph towards the UC Berkley campus and find a handful of local artists and vendors who are just passing through looking to make some money. There are clothing, jewelry and any other wears you can imagine. There is a woman Emaket that sells on Telegraph, mainly making jewelry and sells crystals. Not only doesn’t she sell on Telegraph but also she sells at various local events and gem shows. Selling on her own as a vendor helps keep the costs low so she can allow her designs be sold for less.
You know how the Holidays are supposed to be about family togetherness? Well, lets get real. Holiday's are all about the gift giving and receiving. Now more than ever, people want the goods, but are lacking in the money department.
