BLOOMINGDALE'S
Graphic prints and patterns are always a great way to add some spunk to your style. They have been showing up on a multitude of frocks, from skater/snowboarder T’s, to denim, to chic dresses, and our current favorite, accessories. We are loving the look of the funky, graphic totes for summer and their ability to bring an outfit to life. With the bold statement that a bright, graphic bag makes, an otherwise plain outfit can really gain some great character. Mix them with other prints and patterns for a mad fad look, or go the simplistic route with black or white from head-to-toe, and they'll make a real pop on your ‘blank canvas’ ensemble.
The classic polka dot pattern is back in a big way. The pattern, made famous by Minnie Mouse and itsy-bitsy bikinis, is showing up on everything from hats and dresses, to underwear and umbrellas. Which means, for those of you who are pattern-shy, there is an easy way for you to incorporate them into your wardrobe too! No need to mix patterns if you don’t feel like it; these hot spots look great on their own.

We've seen Sanctuary clothing in department stores like Bloomingdales or Anthropologie, but never in their own little “sanctuary”- until now. Sanctuary Clothing has just launched their new online boutique and to celebrate, will be giving a 20% discount to all shoppers until this Friday!
The e-commerce micro-site will be the best spot for the brand's followers to get all of their latest duds with new pieces added to the site monthly. The site will include timeless pieces like their denim jacket, simple tees, and their "perfect fit" shorts, as well as trendy pieces with bright rhubarb and cobalt, and light pastels like mint and carnation.
On March 17th Roosevelt Field Mall shoppers felt the craze of Kellan Lutz as the Twilight Saga heartthrob joined Danny Guez- Abbot + Main co-designer and Founder of Dylan George- at Bloomingdale’s to celebrate the introduction of Dylan George and Abbot + Main’s Spring 2012 collections. Though only created 4 years ago, the L.A.- inspired luxury men’s and women’s wear designs have made their mark with celebrity clientele such as Anne Hathaway, Nicole Richie, Ryan Phillippe, and even style extraordinaire, Lady Gaga, making it the perfect addition to the high-end duds Bloomingdale’s offers.
I recently had the opportunity to chat with designer Jill Stuart. I've always been a true admirer of her designs, brand, and fashion sense. For some of you who may not know, Jill began working at the age of 15 designing jewelry which was sold at Bloomingdale's. I find her work ethic extremely inspirational. It's interesting how we can admire certain fashions created by a designer and then upon meeting the designer in person one can actually love their collections even more. At that point, everything comes together and becomes real.
Tis the season for the Little Black Dress. The LBD is great for those holiday parties since it hides the chips and salsa you just ate and the cocktails you are about to consume. No one should start a new party season without at least one new Little Black Dress. Here are some great LBDs for every budget.
As cliché as it sounds- it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Even scientifically speaking- shopping produces endorphins- our happiness drug; is there any other time that we shop more than just before Christmas? That, paired with the out-of-this-world adverts kindly created by NYC classics like Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue, have us practically eating out of the palm of their deliciously gorgeous, string-lit, ornament-strewn, hand. But before any holiday purchases are made, some window shopping is in order. The window displays of NYC are a little piece of magic created intricately for anyone who still believes in Christmas. And while yes, it’s a ploy to get you inside, you can still enjoy the beauty for what it’s worth- and maybe score some incredible stocking stuffers (Think Bendel bangle or Serendipity-esque gloves from Bloomies).
Between all of the mall madness and holiday shopping chaos, it’s nearly impossible to please every single fashionista on your list this joyful season. Rather than stressing over what will happen to your eh, mediocre gift, we’re here to give you the scoop on the best return policies for your not-so-satisfied gift recipients. Besides, who doesn’t like a nice chunk of change in a store credit? We know we do! :::wink wink:::
Bloomingdale’s
First off, their is no time limit for returning items, which is why we love Bloomie’s! As long as you have the tags with the return label on it, you’ll get all of your money back in store credit form. Unless of course you have the receipt, then you’ll get a full refund based on the original form of payment. If you buy something off Bloomingdale’s.com, you can return that to any of their stores as well! But again, just be sure to keep those tags with the return label!!
Kohl’s
Kohl’s has a Hassle-Free return policy. Bring the items you want to return and they’ll do the rest! First off, there is no time limit on returns! With the receipt, you’ll be fully refunded for every penny by the original method of payment. If you don’t have a receipt, you’ll just get an even exchange in merchandise credit. Yay!
L.L.Bean
Return anything at anytime if you’re not 100% satisfied with your items purchased. You don’t even need the tags!! Return items to an L.L.Bean store or online. L.L.Bean is known for their wonderful return policy because they pride themselves on making quality clothing that lasts! We’ll take it!
Macy’s
As long as you have the original tags, you can return the items after 180 days from the date of purchase. With the receipt, you’ll receive a full refund. Without the receipt, you’ll get store credit. This gives you about 6 months to return your things!
Nordstrom
You can return anything at anytime to Nordstrom!! How wonderful is that? As long as you have the tags, you’re good to go. The tags just help them to pull up the item to refund your money. You do not need to bring the receipt, however if you have it, that’s always a plus. Say you use a credit card to pay for your items, you don’t even need to bring that credit card when you go to return your item. Easy, simple, stress free. We love!
Sephora
Get this, you can return used products to Sephora without the receipt, just make sure you didn’t use half of it! Sephora prides themselves on keeping their customers happy and satisfied. When it comes to beauty products, we can do some damage, especially in a beauty store heaven like Sephora. It’s quite comforting to know that you can return any product at any time, even without the original packaging. Say you’re not so happy with that coral blush you were so tempted to buy, not a problem! Head down to Sephora for a full refund in store credit. If you have the receipt and the original box you can get a full refund in the form of your original payment!
Zappos.com
The oh-so-popular online shoe store allows returns up to 365 days after the date of purchase! Many people are skeptical about buying shoes online. “What if they don’t fit?” “The shipping costs more than the shoes!” Well, they’ve nipped these concerns in the butt, because they pay for your shipping costs too. Hallelujah! Just make sure the bottoms don’t look worn out.
