Brad Pitt To Donate $100K to Human Rights Campaign Support of Gay Marriage

Brad Pitt continues to wow us with his sexy self, oscar-worthy acting, and noteworthy charitable donations. Pitt recently gave $100,000 to the Human Rights Campaign's support of LGBT. Couples in the states of Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington state will see if there state's laws will change on the Nov. 6 ballot. The Human Rights Campaign announced this past Halloween, that the actor will match every dollar contributed by the group’s members up to $100,000.

Pitt famously said in past interviews that he would not marry Angelina Jolie until everyone was allowed to get married and she also feels the same way, so this cause is not new for the actor.

GLAM DAMN IT
Brad Pitt for Chanel

Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel No. 5 and there has been a lot of buzz over the respective ads as Pitt's the first male to represent the iconic brand's No. 5 scent.

Joining Marilyn Monroe, Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley, as a spokesperson, Pitt brings an air of mystery and smolder to the black and white commercials. "It's not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on," Pitt says in a voice-over as a nature scene is depicted on screen with a pretty woman, then a city scene. "The world turns, and we turn with it. Plans disappear, dreams take over."

Taking home a rumored paycheck of over six-million dollars for the ads, Brad Pitt, at 48, shows us "sexy" has no boundaries. With over 4-million hits on you-tube, his Chanel ad has both the fashion set and the world at large taking notice. "But wherever I go, there you are," he says. "My luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No. 5, inevitable."

Some say that George Clooney would have made a better choice. What do you think?! Is there ever such a thing as too much Brad Pitt?

Brad and Angelina Engaged!

The Middle East situation may remain unresolved but this week the unthinkable had happened. After years of unwed bliss, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have suddenly announced they’re engaged to be married.

“Yes, it’s confirmed,” Cynthia Pett-Dante, Pitt’s manager, told USA Today. “It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

Six kids later, Brad has finally decided to put a ring on it. Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop confirmed that he helped Brad, 48, design a custom diamond engagement ring for Angelina, 36.

Hollywood's Touch Of Evil

Last month, New York Times Magazine gathered the year's best film performers to create a short series of beautifully chilling videos directed by Alex Prager called A Touch Of Evil. Killers, crooks and crazies are just a few of the villianous archetypes that were selected and portrayed by our favorite actors. (Watch the whole series here.)

There's Brad Pitt as the madman, where he says he was channeling ‘‘Peter Lorre — with a dose of Kramer.’’ He was praised last year for Moneyball and The Tree of Life. Mia Wasikowska becomes and axe-weilding home wrecker reminiscent of The Shining. Her best performances include Albert Nobbs, Jane Eyre and Restless. Rooney Mara, leading "lady" in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, dresses as the sociopathic Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Gary Oldman imitates a creepy ventriloquist dummy in his spooky spot. Quite a different role from his performance in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

Brad Pitt (Finally) Wants To Marry Angelina Jolie

Another power couple might be walking down the aisle in the future.....

Brad Pitt spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, “We'd actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out.”

He and long-time partner Angelina Jolie have held out long enough, so they definitely deserve to do this for themselves. "It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."

And the Oscar Nominees Are...

It's that time of year again --Hollywood's award season! The time of year where people obsess over who-won -what-wearing-what-on-the-arm-of-who. Did you get all that? More importantly, film greatness is honored and recognized. While the Academy Awards have received lukewarm reviews in the past few years over choice of host, a slow-moving program, and generally unfunny punchlines; everyone gets excited over who will win best Actor and Actress in a leading role, and that final nailbiting moment: Best Picture of the Year.

(For the record, leads we're pulling for are Brad Pitt in Moneyball and Glenn Close in Albert Nobbs.)

Zac Young Knows How to Sweet Talk

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Err…maybe not. But, at least for red carpet regulars, it is a pretty glamorous season. And while most of us won’t necessarily have the opportunity to decide between the Versace and the Valentino, we can still invite our besties over to cheer for the winners and play a few rounds of “guess who bought more Botox?” We're talking about the nominees, obvi!

To bring a bit more flavor to these uber-tasteful soirees, First Course grabbed a seat in the sweet kitchen of Flex Mussels’ Executive Pastry Chef (and former Top Chef: Just Desserts cheftestant) Zac Young. Check out Zac’s suggestions for the ultimate awards season dessert party and why everything is better with bacon.

Brangelina Gives Back Big Time

Leave it to Hollywood's most powerful pair to show 'em how it's done.

Angelina Jolie and long-time partner Brad Pitt have donated a nice chunk o' change to Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid, $340,000 to be exact, to provide relief in Somalia. Hopefully, their selfless act of generosity will be a huge help. The organization has a goal to curb the worst drought and resulting famine in the country for more than 60 years.

According to the United Nation, the services of the HIJRA could potentially help an estimated 750,000 Somalis from starvation death. To learn more about the organization, visit Hijra.or.ke.
