BUFFALO EXCHANGE
You own a pair of jeans, don't you? It is easy to assume that most people in the United States do, as we tend to sell 450 million pairs a year!
And yet, here is a not-so-fun fact: jeans aren't exactly great for our environment. To make our jeans, cotton crops are mostly likely doused in pesticides, fibers are stained with toxic dyes, and the resulting fabric is sandblasted and chemically softened. Another scary fact: cotton needs a lot of water; it can take up to 15,000 gallons of water to produce enough cotton for ....one pair of jeans.
Sugar, spice, and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of. That, and an infallible ability to fake anything. We've made faking it such a precise science that we can now effortlessly fake our hair colors, skin tones, bra sizes, and even one other thing we need not mention. Any true betch knows that to really get ahead, she's gotta fake it til she makes it. But, the age old question still lingers: how do we show off our amazing style and appease our affinity for extremely expensive designer duds when we're ballers on budgets?
Cara: 21 years old
We spotted Cara having lunch at Bryant Park and absolutely adored her outfit! Cara is wearing a vintage cardigan paired with a American Apparel oversized tank. Her floral leggings are Betsey Johnson, and her shoes are Dolce Vita. She accessorizes this look with a Miu Miu hangbag, vintage ring, and awesome A-morir sunglasses! We must say her diamond encrusted sunglasses definately make this outfit!

With their "recycling is always in style" motto, Buffalo Exchange is a second hand store where you can find unique clothing and accessories that are directly from the customer to the customer. You can trade in your clothes or sell them for cash. The collection is very eclectic and fun. They generally buy designer, vintage, jeans, leather, basics and unique items. The buyers are very knowledgeable in fashion and trends, and what you find on the racks truly reflect that. Everything looks brand new and they are at a fraction of the retail price. Also, if you bring your own plastic bag or better yet pass up on it, they will give you a token worth 5 cents that you can drop in boxes towards a charity of your choice. Now, that's guilt free shopping that's good for your budget and the environment.
