The Future of Fashion

It has been said many times that "everything will change in 2013" and so far it seems true for the direction of the Fashion Industry. As we slowly everyday are heading into the future the fashion industry is moving at a light year speed. Incorporating technology into fashion has been on the rise and is evolving behind the scenes everyday. Just 4 years ago the "Fashion 2.0 Awards" launched which is the only awards celebrating online innovation by fashion brands whom embrace social media and online technology.

Andre's ANTM Capes?

Though we kind-of-sort-of hoped Anna Wintour wouldn't allow Andre Leon Talley's appearance on America's Next Top Model - considering that it took eight years for him to finally do so - we look forward to Andre's custom Ralph Rucci capes during his debut not that we're going to actually watch the next season.

Wintour's actual response:

"Fine, André. Just let me know when you’re going to do it and how it’s going."

Or does that mean, "Just let me know when it's over, so you can return back to real models in the real fashion world?" Oop!
About Andre's capes:
“I went to Ralph Rucci when I started this thing. We came up with these wonderful designs that are based on 17th-century Edo samurai tunic-coats. And Ralph, who is extraordinarily gifted, understood my desire to have something that would pop on TV.” This thing? Classic. And we die!

The good thing to come out of all of this just may be that Ralph Rucci may receive his well-needed press and attention. Though we wouldn't put it past Tyra to direct everyone's attention back to, well, herself.
