CHARLOTTE RUSSE
We have officially hit the month of April and Spring is in the air...or should we say in our hair? One of the biggest looks for headwear from Fall is staying with us for the warm weather and then will be us in the Fall for 2014 again. That's right, we are talking about snapbacks. The baseball cap was a NYFW show stopper. We spotted this look on the Spring 2013 runways of Alexander Wang, Cynthia Rowley, DKNY and many Fall 2014 catwalks as well.
Whether you decide to rep your favorite team or throw on a major metallic cap, rocking a snapback will enhance your style by adding a touch of tough-luxe us women are in need of from time-to-time. If you're not feeling so tough, at least try one of the printed floral styles, as it will keep your femininity grounded and in tact.
We love celeb style but sometimes we just can’t always afford to splurge the way the ladies of Hollywood can! We have curated three celebrity looks from your favorite fashion girls—Miley Cyrus, Sarah Harding, and Taylor Swift for just under $100!
With the links below you can hit the jackpot without spending a jackpot!
Look 1: Miley Cyrus attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival in a black cropped turtleneck paired with a silver pencil skirt and leopard pumps.
A great pick-me-up is having a look that's fresh and current! With the state of the economy and the ever-changing trends that can sometimes be challenging to keep up with, we hit the streets with affordable contemporary retailer Charlotte Russe.
We checked in with a few ladies to show you how they achieved a "street-chic" look without breaking the bank. I got in on the fun, too! Thus, leaving you enough dough to dine with you friends in style, grab a cocktail, and smile! Charlotte Russe is a great place to discover the latest styles because most items retail in the $29-$40 range. Their shoe selection is also amazing (for those with a shoe obsession) and they sell many styles that merely look expensive.
With designers such as Givenchy and Stella McCartney creating gorgeous peplum style dresses, it's easy to see why your favorite celebrities have been spotted hitting the town in this ultra-chic design. Dianna Agron, Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton, Olivia Wilde and Victoria Beckham are just some of the gorgeous ladies that have been seen rocking the hottest peplum frocks.
With the fall season approaching, this is definitely a style that many women can wear. Looking like a lady is fun again -- consider this attractive look "dress-up for adults." Think polished, sophisticated and lady-like. The variations in the design of the dresses, including the cuts and fabrics make them quite stylistically interesting. This flattering silhouette is undoubtedly sexy and you can easily with the addition of accessories add allure. Retro-looks were seen all over the runways from designers such as Alice and Olivia to more budget friendly brands such as bebe. Velvet is also very popular once again this fall as you will notice many designers featuring velvet throughout their Fall/Winter 2012 collections!
As everyone clamours to the hottest shows and soirees during New York Fashion Week, one thing will be certain - many of your favorite fashion devotees will be found rocking one of the hottest trends right now: brightly colored pumps. Perhaps with Valentine's Day 2012 approaching -- vixen red is your thing!? Sure, you could easily drop over $700 on a designer shoe from the likes of Christian Louboutin that would certainly be uber amazing, but what about us ladies on a budget? Below, I will show you the drool-worthy Louboutin patent shoe and another fabulous find from Charlotte Russe!

'Tis the season to celebrate for all of the Glam Damn It readers! With the holidays approaching and our social calendars filled with a flurry of events, having that 'perfect' dress is a definite fashion must. As you visit your favorite dress shop that burning question always seems to remain -- should I opt for a LBD (little black dress) or amp up my style quotient with a vibrant pop of color?! Luckily for all of the ladies out there in the city, there are so many flattering, stylish and fashion forward choices this season! One is also able to take influences from runways abound for style inspiration from designers like Betsey Johnson or timeless icons, such as Audrey Hepburn. In addition, it's wonderful that high-end celebrity stylists such as Eric Daman of 'Gossip Girl' -- design lines for retailers such as Charlotte Russe. This enables everyone out there to score that high-style look (without the high-life price) and have some green left over to buy that sexy shoe you've been eyeing or a sparkly pair of earrings that makes you feel like a Hollywood siren. Own your look with confidence and a dash of dazzle, baby! Be the life of the party!
San Diego-based Charlotte Russe announced that it was considering selling the company last week, but for now, they are focusing on a merchandising re-direct. First, Emilia Fabricant is now president and chief merchandising officer of the mall-based chain. Her goal is to move the retailer out of the realm generic mall store and into a higher-end bracket. To help with this, Fabricant tapped lead Gossip Girl stylist, Eric Daman, as a consulting creative director and signed Susie Castillo, the former MTVVJ, as the brand’s ambassador. Fabricant wants the focus of the product to be placed on value and to increase the customer base from 16 to 24-year-olds to 16 to 29-year-olds. The now exclusive to Charlotte Russe, People’s Liberation line, is expected to help with meeting these goals as well. [wwd]
Seeing that the retailer has fallen into the red, I just hope that this makeover is not already too late.
