One fateful day, Neil Kleinberg met DeDe Lahman in a fish & chip shop in the West Village. This meeting launched a great affair of love (and butter), the restaurant Clinton St. Baking Company (dubbed “New York’s number one breakfast spot") and now a cookbook!
Celebrate Pancake Month with Lahman and Kleinberg's Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook! Read recipes that will make your mouth water, gaze at the gorgeous photographs by Michael Harlan Turkell, and follow the simple step-by-step instructions.
Good news: the restaurant DELIVERS fresh pancakes to your door!!! With that in mind, even if you cannot get there, they can get to you. Buy their cookbook, and you can make breakfast or brunch in bed for your lover, friend, mom, sister, daughter, etc.
Below is a sample of one of the cookbook's most tantalizing recipes. Make this and you will receive raves!
“You might think that a random meeting at a restaurant called A Salt and Battery would be inauspicious for romance, but somehow the fateful night that Neil and I collided at this English fish and chips shop on Greenwich Avenue launched a great affair of love (and butter).” —DeDe Lahman
This happenstance affair confirmed not only a beautiful relationship, but spawned a momentous restaurant, and now, a cookbook.
Coined the #1 Cookbook of 2010 by The New York Times, The Clinton St. Baking Company cookbook (Breakfast, Brunch & Beyond) from New York's favorite neighborhood restaurant, by DeDe Lahman & Neil Kleinberg, is a beautiful and loving book.Your mouth waters as you read the recipies of these magical creations and marvel over the gorgeous photographs (courtesy of Michael Harlan Turkell).
Quoted as “New York's number one breakfast spot,” Clinton Street Baking Company’s restaurant is a quaint place; if you walk too fast, you just might miss it. It’s not ostentatious. Why? Let’s put it this way: Lahman and Kleinberg started with just buttermilk biscuits, and then their repertoire grew and grew, and so did their reputation.
