Jell-O-Mold Competition In Brooklyn

Well it’s about time. Finally, someone is having a Jell-O throw down! The Gowanus Studio Space in Brooklyn is trying to bring back the coolness of Jell-O by hosting their own Jell-O-Mold Competition on June 20th. The competition will bring some of the most creative Jell-O molds since the 70’s.

A panel of judges will be determining the winner based upon the criteria of creativity, aesthetics, structural ingenuity, edibility/culinary appeal, and of course, the best use of Jell-O. The grand prize for the competition is $500 and a singed Tara McPherson (really great artist if you don’t know) poster. All entry forms must be submitted by June 12th, $15 registration fee ($10 for students), but molds do not have to be created at that time. Think you can take the jiggle and make something of it?
