Flyways Concert Benefits Bird Conservation

On Friday, March 16th and Saturday, March 17th, Music for the Earth will host the world-premiere benefit concerts for Flyways, a unique project that celebrates the great bird migration from Africa to Eurasia while also raising awareness of declining cultural traditions in the regions over which the birds fly. The concert features music from these regions interwoven with voices and film footage of the birds, with performances from the Great Rift Valley Orchestra and members of the Paul Winter Consort.

All performances will be enhanced by the amazing acoustics of the world's largest Gothic cathedral, the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Divine, at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue. The concerts beginst at 8:00pm, and tickets start at $50.
