Joonbug staffers will attest to the fact that I love cupcakes! So it is no surprise that my first task when I was an intern for Joonbug was to put together a Cupcake Giveaway promotion! Joonbug and Cupcake Stop joined forces and gave away 500 mini cupcakes to Joonbug members and followers.
Now as a full time member of the Joonbug team, I am making it my mission to continue the cupcake love. With Editor, Chet Jordan, in tow I made my way to The Limelight Marketplace earlier today and had the pleasure of meeting Chief Cupcake Samurai, Vicki.

It began as a church. And then it became Limelight - a place synonymous with parties, music, drugs and dancing. When Limelight's doors closed, then re-opened as Avalon, and then closed again, the neo-Gothic church took on a gloomy feel. Devoid of late-night party-goers, the venue just seemed abandoned.

If there is something the world needs, a high-end mobile cupcake truck is it. Thankfully, Lev Ekster, a recent law school graduate, has decided to put the law degree on hold for now and launch just that. Cupcake Stop, the first mobile cup cake truck of NYC, has embraced the newest form of technology, Twitter, to inform his loyal sugar craving fans where his truck will be parked and what he is serving each day. Ekster takes ordinary flavors to the next level, serving a black and white cupcake, chocolate peanut butter swirl, psychedelic tie die, and even peanut butter and jelly. This is not your supermarket-prepackaged cupcake. Ekster is dedicated to serving the people of NYC the most decadent treat possible as well as on the go.
In conjunction with NYC Daily Deals, the first and only cupcake truck in NYC, CupcakeStop, will be giving away free mini cupcakes to all that print out this message and bring it to the truck. If a printer is not easily accessible, you can pull up the deal on your smartphone (don’t you just love technology?) .
Today CupcakeStop will be offering five different flavors to make all sugar fiends rush out and get in line: Red Velvet, Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, Banana Chocolate Chip, Black and White Cookie, and Mint Chocolate Chip.
