DANCING WITH THE STARS
Amber Riley won season 17 of Dancing with the Stars, taking home the mirror ball trophy with her pro dancing partner Derek Hough. This was the fifth time that Hough has taken home a mirror ball trophy on the show.
Despite battling a bad knee injury, Riley still was able to beat Corbin Bleu and Jack Osbourne in the finals. After she was announced the winner, the actress stated, "I want to let women of all sizes out there know, you can do whatever you put your mind to. It doesn't matter what size you are, what color you are. You can do whatever, whatever, whatever you put your mind to."

Last night’s episode of the hit reality competition show “Dancing with the Stars” was filled with a lot of surprises. The theme of the evening was “trio”. All the competing stars had to do a performance along with two dance partners. Although doing a trio dance can be a tricky task for anyone to pull off, each contestant excelled at the challenge. They all looked good, danced good, and got really good scores from the judges. Too bad that on this show, looking good on the dance floor and getting a perfect score from the judges is sometimes just not good enough to save someone from a tearful elimination. Someone had to be voted off, and to much surprise, that someone this week was actress Elizabeth Berkley and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
It was a Cher themed night on last night’s episode of the popular reality competition series “Dancing with the Stars”. The iconic music and film star Cher sang her smash hit “Believe” before taking one of the judge’s seats. Some of the contestants chose to do dance to songs that they thought the legend would like. After each star did their individual performances, they all participated in a round two dance off.Cher was a fair judge, and all the contestants received good scores. The lowest number that a judge gave out was an 8 out of a possible 10. Unfortunately for the contestants, somebody had to be eliminated, and this week, it was actor Brant Daugherty and his dance partner Peta Mugatroyd.
Last night’s episode of the popular reality competition series, “Dancing with Stars,” was filled with a lot of surprise twists. Each couple proved that they could bring plenty of heat into the dance floor. Although all the contestants demonstrated why they’re labeled as stars, there was one couple whose sexy performance could give others an “OMG, that was so cool, I wish I could do something like that” nerdgasm feeling. That couple was former Disney star Corbin Bleu and his partner Karina Smirnoff who performed a Viennese Waltz.
Last night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars” definitely took us on a trip down memory lane, as each couple danced to the night’s theme of “my most memorable year”. Although each couple did earn generous points from the judges, it actress Elizabeth Berkley who gave the viewers the biggest blast from the past, with her “Saved By The Bell” inspired routine. She and her partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, started off their number with a skit that roughly recreated one of the most famous scenes from popular 90s sitcom in which Elizabeth’s character, Jessie Spano, has a freak out after becoming addicted to pills. The two then proceeded to a jive dance to the song “I’m so excited” by The Pointer Sisters.
Actress Valerie Harper and her partner Tristan MacManus where eliminated in last night episode of “Dancing with the Stars”. The two of them did a Viennese Waltz to the song “Carry On” and, although they did receive nice comments from the judges, their scores weren’t enough to save them for another week in the popular reality competition series.
Despite the elimination, Valerie remained with a positive attitude. At the end of the episode, instead of being mad about not winning, she commented that she had a great experience being on the show and that she thought the judges were fair. She also commented that she had entered the competition to bring a message to folks about carrying on in life despite challenges and that she felt that she did accomplish delivering that message.
Last night’s “Dancing With The Stars” eliminated contestant Bill Nye (the science guy) . Despite a leg injury, Bill danced with his partner Tyne Stecklein to the song “Get Lucky” but was unable to receive enough points to continue for another week in the popular reality competition series.
Although Bill will not be returning to the show, he was glad that he gave it shot and ignored his doctor’s recommendations against dancing with an injured leg. “People don’t regret what they do. They regret what they don’t do” Bill told abc.com. What he does he feel about is that his partner Tyne is also out of the competition. He thinks that she is a fantastic dancer and he is grateful that he got the opportunity to work with her.
