DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, designers have stunned the fashion communities with their re-invention of the "classic" wardrobe essential. Nail Art is definitley not dead New York Fashion Week runways are proof!
We love all the classic nude nails : a catwalk staple season after season but we got to see so many designers showcase creative manicures, and many of the looks can be easily translated into the real world! Keeping in stride with NYFW, MARS the Salon, located in West Hollywood has created a must-have nail design inspired by the black and white combinations gracing the catwalk. Utilizing geometric shapes with color blocking, MARS the Salon helps you stay on trend with the hottest fall fashions as well as to match your nails to fit any stylish occasion.
With the Superbowl right around the corner everyone and everything is sporting "Superbowl XLVII," as Miranda Priestly would a white Hermes scarf.
If football seems a little more crusty than couture to you , don't pass on this fashion first! Bloomingdales teamed up with the NFL and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to produce these incredible helmets which show off our fave designers signature styles - all for charity!
With the awards season in full swing , celebrities stepped out on the red carpet in sizzling style showcasing the hottest back to basics trend.
One after the other our favourite style celebs showed off their best black, whites and neutrals in a variety of styles , cuts and accessories. Here are the best dressed and how to get the look to keep you looking fashion forward and fabulous this winter!
2 Broke Girls' Beth Behrs hit the carpet in an edgy white strapless Giulietta gown with a striking black accent. The classic look was polished off with a hollywood chic updo and black heels.
City dressing is all about versatility and being able to go from day to night. This flattering dress from DVF Diane Von Furstenberg will certainly take you from the office and beyond. We love the retro-inspired print. Top the look off with the jacket of the season -- a leather moto-jacket by All Saints.
It's fun to keep it chic. Who says that classic lines aren't sexy? We can't begin to tell you how many compliments this model received as she strutted down the Bloomingdale's runway in this amazing Tahari tweed sheath dress. The makeup artist added a bold fuchsia lip for added appeal. A Fendi purse in a pop of color and Marc by Marc Jacobs statement necklace completed this look. Don't be shy and add edgy accessories, such as these leather grommet-detailed gloves.
Leather can now be worn to the office and beyond. This Hugo Boss leather skirt was to-die-for . The color of the skirt and the the way it was cut is so flattering on the body. This model rocked the look with a pretty Gerard Darel blouse and Links of London layered necklaces. Links of London is a brand favored by Kate Middleton and the pieces were gorgeous.
A wool fedora is such a great way to add a little mystery to your fall look. Think "undercover chic." This colorblock jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs was a real head-turner. Many who attended the runway event were saying that they wanted this piece. Joonbug adores Marc Jacobs and all of his designs, so we also are a fan. With a slight military influence, but with an air of added whimsy with accent colors in burgundy, blue and tan this warm jacket can be worn with many outfits. The skinny jeans with patch accents are also by Marc by Marc Jacobs. The burgundy/wine color Ray Ban shades the model wore are perfect for fall!
Another notice-me look was the Ted Baker London ensemble. Florals can also be worn into fall. We saw this as this look graced the runway. The skirt was gorgeous and can definitley be styled to reflect your personality. If you wear the skirt with a leather jacket, you can make the look more street chic; or you could give it that upscale Park Ave. feel with a blazer and a chain-link bag. Ted Baker London has a great collection for fall including a chic tan coat we noticed.
Brought to life in 2009, the High Line, New York's mile-long park-in-the-sky which runs along the city's West Side, has been known to provide inspiration and respite to tourists, locals, and creative-types alike. Diane von Furstenberg not only helped fund the park's construction, but has sung it's praises in a special-edition collection in 2012, as well as a commerative map highlighting the designer's favorite places earlier this year. Sculptor Carol Bove, commissioned by the city, created seven original works for display in the park's still incomplete section 3, and famed architect Zaha Hadid, who at one point was in the running to design the park itself, has chosen the landmark as the site for her very first high-rise condomium building in New York.
Printed swimwear has always been popular but for Summer 2013 swimwear and streetwear meet in digital printed bathing suits. Swimwear by Australia's Black Milk Clothing can help you transition from the beach during the day to the clubs on the shore at night. Our favorite is the Shark vs Mermaid Swimsuit inspired by the infamous opening scene of Jaws and Disney's mermaid princess, Ariel.
Florals are so on-trend this season. This fab bikini by Splendid from Swimspot has a vibrant pop of color that will enhance many skintones! The side hip ties and removable halter strap allows for versatility. Ready to dive in!
Feeling a little flirty? This crochet bikini from Forever 21 in a soft blue will be sure to get you noticed beach-side and poolside We love the eyelet detail at the bust which enhances the bust-line in a flattering way!
Another figure flattering design is this L Space Bikini found at Neiman Marcus! Talk about ultra-cool. This bikini features a neon rocker look that's perfect for having fun in the sun! The grommet detailing on the bottom is sexy.
Perhaps you need a sassy little cover-up to tie your look all together? We are lovin' the Ipanema cover-up from 4drobe. The sexy sides and print have that bohemian feel we crave. This most definitely can transition to the poolside bar for a few refreshing cocktails! The drawstring waist also allows you to the style the piece for an amazing look. Add a few bangle bracelets, shades, Grecian gladiator sandals and you're set for the rest of the day!

All pieces “reflect Diana Von Fürstenberg’s love of beach culture and nature as well as ROXY’s active and trailblazing spirit.” By combining DVF’s fun, bold prints with ROXY’s signature swim silhouettes the line is playful and empowering. We especially love the pastel tribal print of the Hopscotch Multi bikini with Knotted Bandeau Top! (top: $54, bottom: $46)
Joonbug is definitely feeling the style collaboration between Target and Neiman Marcus. Referred to as a "legendary partnership" featuring over 50 gorgeous gifts from over 24 exceptional designers, Neiman Marcus at the Paramus, NJ location is hosting a soiree to kick-off this fashion extravaganza. As many of you know, located in beautiful Bergen County, NJ -- the Neiman Marcus Paramus location is a premiere shopping experience. The area is known for their malls, and Neiman's certainly doesn't disappoint.
Summer wedding attire can be tricky for even the best stylistas. Day, night, beach (or other equally picturesque destinations), can result in a wardrobe conundrum that proves to be even more stressful than our daily decisions. It’s not always easy to achieve the perfect balance between looking fabulous but not stealing the show, statement-making accessories that still allow you to dance the night away, and expert styling for a look appropriate in any setting. Here are a few ideas for celebratory styles that will keep you confident and comfortable long after you’ve caught the bouquet.
Summer is a great time to show off your one-of-a-kind style and purchase a few essentials for your wardrobe. We all have the plain white T, pair of ray-bans, cut-off shorts, beach bag and pair of loafers hiding somewhere in our closets, but this summer, its time to liven up those pieces up! Take a look at these trendy new ways to freshen up the basic pieces and help make a statement with your summer wardrobe.
The Not-So-Plain White T
Everyone has a basic white t-shirt, whether it's a plain V-neck or a scoop; it’s an essential piece in every woman's closet. Instead of grabbing for the simple white T, go for a cool neckline or an asymmetrical hem! We love the look of this White T by Diane Von Furstenberg as it takes a new, chic look to the stable wardrobe piece with its wide neck, thick, asymmetrical hem, and oversized sleeves.
