Hilary Duff, 24, revealed the birth of her son, Lucas Cruz Comrie via Twitter with the message, "Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy."
She later tweeted, “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world. He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”
Back in August 2011, the former Disney star announced her pregnancy adding that she and Comrie were ready to start a new chapter in their lives.
“People keep saying to me, 'Sleep right now. Get your sleep. I keep saying, 'I just want the baby here! I want to play and I'm ready to see what he looks like,” Duff told Us Weekly in December.
She told Eonline.com, "I'm not the first person in Hollywood to have a baby. Other people have found a way to deal with it and I think I will, too," on raising a child in the public eye.

For anyone paying attention to today’s pop culture scene, it was easy to predict who would win big at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.
The show, hosted by The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco, highlights the year's biggest achievements in entertainment while putting a spin on the typical awards show archetype. The winners are voted on by teenagers who cast their votes online, and the categories stem from the typical favorites and have come to include Choice Tweeter (Justin Beiber), choice vampire (Robert Pattinson), choice web star (Rebecca Black) and other zany categories.
During last night’s MTV Movie Awards, we saw all of our favorite celebrities decked out in their best Award-worthy outfits. We saw everything from ball gowns to mini dresses to even rompers, and we loved them all (for the most part!). Some of the major trends highlighted were lace, animal print, and metallic designs. Here are our top 15 favorite looks from this year’s event...
1. Selena Gomez’s Giambattista Valli-designed look topped our list. The Disney starlet opted for light, summery-toned separates and a clutch designed by Cecilia. She told MTV's red carpet reporter and Project Runway alum Christian Siriano that as soon as she saw the trendy, but age-appropriate look, she was sure it the one!
Photographer Annie Leibovitz has been working with Disney to bring us our favorite characters reimagined as celebrities. She was called in to do a project called the Year of a Million Dreams campaign. Her photos are, as always, fantastic, and she works extremely hard to bring the original scenes to life.
Robb Pratt, a Disney heavy weight animator with Pocahontas, Hercules, and Tarzan under his belt, took on a little project he’d had in the back of his mind for a long time. What he made was an homage to the Man of Steel himself, and although it’s a little under a minute long, it’s a marvel of animation on the web. The film is produced and storyboarded by Pratt and he is joined at the animation table by only two others.
With the movie "TRON:Legacy" out in theaters, there’s been a spike in creative projects based on the original film and it's most recent adaptation. The sleek, futuristic look of the movie has inspired some quite a few “Tron-ified” modern day objects. Taking the idea to the next level, West Coast Customs has teamed up with Monster Cables to create a TRON themed Audi R8.
The car features glowing rims, glowing vents, a glowing back seat, and a shiny chrome finish. At night, all that can be seen are the glowing features as the car zooms by. The car is going to be featured in an up-coming episode of Inside West Coast Customs and should blow the minds of a few TRON fans.
A witness who was allegedly at a party with Demi tells all:
“Demi was belligerent, being slutty and doing coke all over the house. The guy who hosted the party shot multiple videos of this and what I’ve seen with my eyes, Demi is screaming, ‘F**k all of you, I’m famous, I don’t care what any of you think of me the whole world loves me.’ He shot her in the bathroom as she was finishing a line (of cocaine)." This was the beginning of Demi’s week.
The one and only Miss Britney Spears' interest has allegedly been peaked by Alcor Life Extension Foundation, an Arizona based company that specializes in Cryogenics. The pop princess wants to have her body frozen after her death, just like Walt Disney was rumored to have done. Clearly Britney didn't do much research since it was confirmed that he was cremated, not frozen. It's a little unsettling to hear her talk about this considering how young she is and how miserable she's been looking lately. Brit is waiting for her father to give his approval before she can sign a contract.
Soap opera fans everywhere will be sad to hear that SoapNet will soon cease to exist! The popular channel that features reruns of all our favorite episodes from shows like “General Hospital” to the first episodes of “Beverly Hills, 90210” will be replaced by a channel appropriate for a much different age group. Disney, who owns SoapNet has decided to make another channel called “Disney Junior” which will serve as a channel for pre-schoolers. Anne Sweeney, the co-chair of Disney Media Networks explained, "The decision to ultimately transition SoapNet to accomplish this was not arrived at lightly. SoapNet was created in 2000 to give daytime viewers the ability to watch time-shifted soaps, before multi-platform viewing and DVRs were part of our vocabulary. But today, as technology and our businesses evolve, it makes more sense to align this distribution with a preschool channel that builds on the core strengths of our company." I’m going to Tivo all my favorite 90210 episodes before this channel is off-air!
Miley Cyrus wants the world to know that she's growing up whether we like it or not, and that she's "not gonna go to college." She has set her sights on furthering her career, and in doing so, she has not intentions of taking a break for higher education. In an interview, she mentioned that if she were to attend college, it would be Middle State Tennessee University, the same school her sister graduated from. Miley is already globally famous, so the only thing she can do now is cause controversy, which she has proven won't be hard for her. Check out her racy new video for "Can't Be Tamed."
