SCENETRACKER Diddy & Wiz
Rick Ross' Star-Studded Birthday Bash

Rick Ross, dressed in his signature head to toe white threads, celebrated his 36th birthday at Club Amnesia in Miami over the weekend. The legendary rapper drew a swarm of fans along with some of the biggest names in hip hop including Dr. Dre, Diddy, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, and the LOX, amongst others. He was also joined by singer/producer Sean Garrett and former business manager and head of Poe Boy, E-Class. Guests enjoyed flowing bottles of Moet champage and, naturally, Ciroc Vodka (Diddy's brand), while listening to sets by DJ Camilo.

Speaking of, Diddy rolled up as expected with an entourage that included Cassie, his son Justin, and French Montana --the latest new artist to join Bad Boy Records. The highlight of the night was when Ross took to the stage for a live performance of his 'Holy Ghost' track which also features Diddy.

The Game Says He's Leaving Interscope for Cash Money

It looks like the Cash Money army is growing bigger thanks to the label’s main recruiter, Birdman. He just recently cajoled Bow Wow to join the team and lured Dj Khaled and production duo Cool & Dre as well. Now, he’s after The Game.

According to Game, he will probably drop one more album with Interscope after his forthcoming LP, The R.E.D. Album, and then start a new agreement with Cash Money Records soon after.

The R.E.D. Album originally marked the ultimate return of the rapper, as he said he was going to retire after his third album. However, with this new information, it appears that it also signifies his departure, at least from ‘Scope Records.

Listen: The Weeknd's Remix of Drake's "Trust Issues"

The explanation behind the remix is rather confusing. If you listen, and if you've heard Drake's remixed version of "I'm On One," then the story behind the remix is rather confusing. Basically, The Weeknd's take on "Trust Issues" is really a remix of Drake's remix of DJ Khaled's single "I'm On One," which features Drake and originally appeared on Khaled's album, We The Best.

Woah, what? While it might take a few re-reads of that sentence to fully understand what's going on, it will only take a few seconds to get hooked on the cut. As all of The Weeknd's songs thus far have been nothing short of hypnotizing and eargasmic, this remix has yet again risen to the occasion and has an irresistible bite to it.

He may have even one-upped the October's Very Own originator...there's just something about the way Tesfaye can sang that makes his songs so seductive.

Lil' Wayne's I'm Still Music Tour hit South Florida

Lil’ Wayne hit the stage last night at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise for what was yet another unforgettable performance. Since his release from prison just months ago, the multi-platinum and Grammy award winning artist was quick to get back on top of the rap music scene. With the release of his single, “6 foot 7 foot” and his album, I Am Not a Human Being, the iconic rapper and label owner hit the road for his North American tour, I’m Still Music.

The unstoppable Young Money crew is along for the ride, as well. Nicki Minaj continues to establish herself as one of the top female artists in the music industry by her show shopping performance last night. Also on stage was Drake, Mack Maine, Rick Ross and special guest DJ Khaled. If that line up wasn’t enough to get Young Money groupies out of their seats and losing their voices, Travis Barker and Mixmaster Mike opened up with a DJ/Drummer set. Brett Weithorn, president of Joonbug Miami, was in attendance. “I was very impressed with the entire show. The production was great, and the sound and lighting even better. Lil' Wayne and his Young Money Artists put on one amazing show,” he commented.

Mike West Speaks Up About New Mix Tape, Beef With DJ Khaled

Mike West has been in the rap game for a decade and a half and has seen plenty of “beef,” especially since he comes from the “Thug Life” camp. It is extra poignant when he has beef with someone he used to call friend or “onetime homeboy.” Still, the turmoil with DJ Khaled of 99 Jams that has been brewing for almost five years now has spawned a highly anticipated new mix tape, Divide & Conquer Part II from the South Florida hip-hop legend.

Best of the Best Brings Hip-Hop's Biggest Names

The annual Best of the Best concert is considered the pinnacle of Memorial Day Weekend in Miami, and this year should be no different. An all-star lineup will welcome the almost 50,000 expected attendees at this year's concert making it one of the most star-studded and largest Best of the Bests of all time.

Performers this year include Diddy (Puff Daddy? P. Diddy? Whatever.) DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, and over ten others. While the gates open at 1pm on Sunday, I would highly recommend getting there early as the crowds should be crazy as the party lasts late into the night. Luckily for us it's Memorial Day Weekend and we'll be out all night anyway.

If you don't have tickets yet, act quickly because the sale ends Thursday at midnight. For recommendations of what the hot spots will be all weekend, check back tomorrow for a full Memorial Day Weekend Rundown.
