DREAMS
Jan von Holleben is known for his whimsical photography, full of imaginative posing and creative use of everyday objects. He transforms the ordinary into something out of a picture book. His world is playful, fun, and impossibly inventive. When approached by German newspaper ZEIT to create a set of photos inspired by the idea of dreaming, he did not disappoint. His latest work is a take off from one of his most famous sets, Dreams of Flying.
However, he was not satisfied with the simple concept of dreams. This time, the bed was his canvas and focus. He gathered together objects that could be found in a room and a model, and from there created an entire night’s worth of dreaming. Blankets suddenly become a car, comforters transform into clouds. There is something elegant and child-like in each photo, and they’re all bound to bring a smile to the viewer’s face.
At 5'6", O'Neal McKnight's presence is far from intimidating. Dressed casually, with a friendly, open demeanour, you would never know that this man has the ear of some of the most celebrated names in the music industry. Perhaps his name is not as well known as that of his cousin Andre Harrell, but from dancing with Outkast, to styling Mystikal, and recording an album with Busta Rhymes, O'Neal McKnight's impressive list of talents and qualities show that there is much, much more than meets the eye.
British pop star Leona Lewis was attacked Wednesday afternoon while signing autographs for her new memoir, Dreams, in a London bookstore. An eyewitness told the press that her assailant "walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her."
Lewis, who’s now likely in the market for additional bodyguards, was shaken by the incident, though not hospitalized. The suspect, twenty-nine year old Peter Kopwalsczyk, was immediately apprehended and charged with assault. Kopwalsczyk will be arraigned on the 26th of this month, and since the attack was unprovoked, it’s likely that he’ll also be undergoing some psychiatric evaluation as well.
