We haven’t seen much of 26-year-old, Amanda Bynes since she retired from acting in 2010.
Well on Friday morning, Amanda Bynes was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, as confirmed by Access Hollywood.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the former actress was pulled over in West Hollywood, at the intersection of Robertson Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.
Bynes was driving a black BMW and tried to cut off a POLICE CAR on the right when she allegedly hit the right, rear quarter of the cruiser! No damage was reported, but police claim the incident resulted in minor paint damage on both cars and led to Bynes being pulled over.
The well-known comedian, Andy Dick, was arrested last night on drunk and disorderly charges. He was spotted intoxicated and supposedly belligerent in public outside of Marie Callender’s restaurant in Riverside County, California. He was taken in and booked for the charge, but quickly released on a $500 bail.
News of this incident comes on the heels of several other charges made against Dick. His alcoholism has proven to be a major problem in his life and earlier this year he vowed to make a sincere attempt at sobriety. However, he’s since been in trouble with the law under some questionable circumstances. On separate occasions he’s been taken to task over the alleged groping of a young girl and more recently, the groping of a bouncer and several male patrons at a bar in West Virginia.
Singer George Michael was busted in London this week for being "unfit to drive by drink or drug." In so many words and in a British accent, he was a trifle wasted. This isn't the first run-in with the law this year for the 80s rollover. He was nabbed earlier in the year for crashing the same car into a building. What's next?
Last month I blogged about Chris Klein's second DUI. He voluntarily checked himself into a 30 day treatment to deal with his "disease."
As his 30 days come to an end, his rep confirmed that he will extend his stay in Utah's Cirque Lodge, the facility he checked into.
His rep confirmed the plans to E! News and said he is doing "amazing" in the program.
This is what he had to say: "I spoke to him yesterday for about 30 minutes, It's a wonderful facility. He's taking it very seriously and he sounds better than I have ever heard him sound!"
Well good for him! Let's hope other celebrities follow in his footsteps to sobriety.
The 39-year-old DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, started serving a 90 day sentence yesterday for violating probation from his 2002 conviction for reckless driving.
He surrendered at a Los Angeles courthouse yesterday afternoon and authorities transported him to a county lockup.
He has been in and out of jail in Arizona and Florida for the last few years.
At the time of the incident, DMX pleaded no contest to reckless driving and a DUI charge was dropped.
The judge has ruled that he cannot serve any of his time on house arrest or work release. But just like Lilo herself, it's likely that he will not serve his entire 90-day sentence due to chronic overcrowding.
Vince Neil was stopped early yesterday morning in Las Vegas by police who thought the Motley Crue band member was driving drunk.
Surprise, surprise, this isn't the first time Neil has come face to face with the law. Check out these other times he's met the men in blue.
-In 2002, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a music producer,
-In 2003, Neil again pleaded no contest to charges he
attacked a prostitute at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada.
-In 2004, an arrest warrant for misdemeanor assault was issued for Neil
after he reportedly hit a sound engineer at a show he was playing in
Texas.
He needs to stop trying to prove he's still a rockstar. Those days are over, Vince. Move on.
Chris Klein could call himself a lucky man for not getting himself or someone else killed this morning. Klein wasn't just drunk when he was taken into custody for DUI early this morning, according to law enforcement sources his blood alcohol level was almost THREE TIMES the legal limit. The legal limit in California is .08.
According to reports Klein blew well over a .20 when he was arrested on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles this morning. This would be his second DUI bust in the last 6 years.

And when we say 'edge,' we're not referring to the EIC who opted to be "cool" and wear the same ensembles for 3 or more days to prove a statement. Oop, Anna is that you?
We mean the bad boys and girls who refuse to cooperate with the police and get arrested. Stefano Tonchi - we're looking at you! Gawker revealed that W magazine's new EIC was arrested in Beverly Hills back in 2009 - yes, when he refused to take a breathalizer test during a routine traffic stop - only to be arrested and walk away with a misdemeanor DUI charge. Tonchi's case was put on hold for almost an entire year, thus he was scheduled to appear in court for trial this past Thursday. Tonchi's appearance in court was confirmed by Tonchi's lawyers to Gawker, which reports that the EIC did not appear, opting for plea arranged by his lawyers.
For goodness' sake, doesn't the justice system understand this man has a magazine to save?
Wednesday afternoon, Mischa Barton called police because she was suffering from a health problem. A patrol car escorted her out of her home, to avoid exposure to the media, and brought her to an undisclosed location. She is currently being assisted with her issue and is seeking medical attention.
No one was arrested and the paramedics were not involved. Confidentiality prevents the media in knowing exactly what Barton was suffering from. Apparently, Mischa will miss the Thursday night premiere of her movie Homecoming. In the film, she stars as a corrupt Homecoming Queen... awesome. This is supposedly one of her better played roles. As of now she is not able to travel and no further investigations have been reported except that she is “okay and resting.”
Look’s like the world’s most useless person is making innocent citizens’ lives stressful. The heiress held an impromptu photo session on July 15, in which she retook her driver’s license picture five times.
According to sources, Hilton went to the Santa Monica DMV, where she was receiving her license, again. Her assistant called ahead of time and ordered the staff to give Ms. Hilton the royal treatment—no line at the DMV. Employees were even forced to shut off their cell phones so that no one could take a picture of Paris. It doesn’t really matter anyway because her picture will show up on the TV again in a few months for another DUI. If she were so “beautiful” and “amazing,” shouldn’t she have looked good on the first try anyway? [tmz]
