Safe enough to say, if you’re a Dubstep fan then you definitely like bass; BUT! Are you a bass head? Within the past 5 years there’s been a world-wide bass boom with the up-come of Dubstep inside our quickly growing EDM seed, and it’s only evolving more (thank the EDM Gods). Of course, with regards to our friends Knife Party, Nero, and Noisia who usually stay on the happier, upbeat/club type-step, few other DJs dare to go deeper. Hits like ‘Witchcraft’ by Pendelum, ‘Infinite’ by Bassnectar, and one of the newest, ‘Fallout’ by Emalkay & The Others are a few triggers to knowing you’re hooked onto the bass chain, especially when there’s not a second to breath between drops and you just want more. Now, this is no definition of which Dubstep is better or what style makes you a better fan, there are simply levels wherein some can handle and some cannot. Let’s talk a fan favorite; Bassnectar.

As if we weren’t already sold on the Camp Bisco lineup, its organizers at MCP Presents just made the festival literally impossible to resist.
Taking place July 11-13 in the sprawling fields of Mariaville, New York, Camp Bisco celebrates twelve years of genre-crossing musical glory with an impressive roster of talent ranging from iconic jam-bands like Umphrey’s McGee and STS9 to electro-superstars Bassnectar and Flux Pavilion. To make matters even better, last week the festival released its second lineup announcement including acts like Madeon, Alpha Data, and Seven Lions.
But it’s not all about rounding up the usual festival suspects for Bisco; the festival’s founders and curators The Disco Biscuits have built a reputation on barrier-breaking originality that combines the instrumental artistry of live bands with the melodic masterpieces of electronically-based productions. In continuing with this tradition, Bisco will welcome to its lineup both Destroid—a live band version of Excision, KJ Sawka, and Downlink—as well as Digital Tape Machine—a recent side project featuring members of Umphrey’s McGee.
The recent announcement also unveiled the return of Bisco’s curated tents, hosted this year by OWSLA, BoysNoize Records, French Express Records and music blog This Song is Sick. Skrillex’s label will face off against BoysNoize’s imprint in the ultimate electro-showdown, with producers from each camp flexing their turntablist muscles. If you thought Dillon Francis spinning B2B with Kill The Noise last year was legendary, just wait for the surprises in store at Camp Bisco 2013!
General Admission tickets are available for $185 now online at Camp Bisco's homepage. If you’re saving up to attend even one festival this summer, Camp Bisco will be worth every penny.
