It’s almost hard to believe that Gucci has been around for more than three quarters of a century. Throughout the years ,Gucci has mastered the art of staying current within the fashion industry by developing creative ways to reinvent itself. With the support of mega pop stars such as Katy Perry, who previously appeared on the cover of Elle Magazine for March 2011 completely decked out in items from the 2012 Spring Collection, Gucci successfully maintains brand recognition by expanding to the younger market. Gucci, rated #41 of the Top Global Brands by Business Week in 2009, has much to show for its 90 years in fashion design and retail. However, few are aware of Gucci’s humble beginnings. The brand which is widely known for its tailored men's and women's apparel that bare the glamorous golden double G logo was first established in a quaint town in Italy.
Monday night’s Elle Magazine tribute to the Woman of Hollywood event honored an amazing group of our most beloved starlets—but, of course, our eyes were glued to the amazing fashion on display. The event (sponsored by Calvin Klein, L’Oreal Paris, and David Yurman and hosted by Joel McHale) honored the careers of actresses Viola Davis, Barbra Streisand, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Aniston, Evan Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, Michelle Pfeiffer and Elizabeth Olsen, and DreamWorks chief executive officer Stacey Snider.
The pop singer talks about her career, her marriage and her weight without any complex in the March issue of ELLE magazine.

"I was shaped like a square at one time. I was! I'm generally around 130 pounds, which is totally fine for me. But when I was a kid, I was the same height and weighed more like 145. And I had enormous boobs that I didn't know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute. Those thick-ass straps! I got made fun of for the over-the-shoulder boulder holder...and all I wanted was to look like Kate Moss. Little did I know...that these things would come in handy someday."

It's fashion week in New York and Kelly Cutrone wants to make sure her girls Whitney and Roxy are on their A game. Kelly tells Whitney it's important that she goes to as many shows as she can - unless she has crappy seats then don't go. Whitney being the non-industry buff that she is thinks that logic is silly. It is silly but it's also probably how the fashion industry operates. So listen to Mama Kelly for once will ya, Whit. Speaking of Kelly, she's giving Roxy a chance to help run one of her fashion shows. Roxy is all about it. She really wants the opportunity to prove herself to Kelly. Kelly isn't entirely on board but she says okay. If Roxy messes up she tells her she'll fire her. Joe over at Elle could take some tips from Kelly on how to deal with lax employees.
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Rihanna spoke a bit about ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.
In an honest explanation she says, ““A year ago, I was very
confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our
whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day
and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over
him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.” Rihanna definitely took the high road on this one. Her explanation is classy,
yet brutally honest. She also talked about how her life has changed since then, and where she stands now. "I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.” Good for you, RiRi! You deserve it!
The always pleasant Kristen Stewart has tried to shed some light on Lindsay Lohan's antics in a recent interview with Elle UK. According to Stewart, your family and upbringing defines who you become.
"My family are amazing. I had like, the perfect upbringing. It sucks for people like Lindsay Lohan, but it's not her fault that she's so off the rails."
Thank you Kristen for that enlightening take on the situation, because we didn't already know that Dina and Michael Lohan are both certifiably out of their minds.
