ELLEN DEGENERES
Justin Bieber is officially a spokesperson for the new film "BULLY," a documentary on the prevalence and effects of bullying in U.S. schools. Justin joins a host of celebrities supporting the film and its campaign to take action on bullying including: Ellen Degeneres, Meryl Streep, Victoria Justice, Andersoon Cooper and Kelly Ripa.
“My fans are always up for supporting a great cause. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of as an entertainer,” said Bieber. “I hope they see BULLY with their friends and help start the conversation so we can end bullying.” Watch the Biebs' promo for "BULLY."
This year, 13 million students will be bullied and 3 million will be absent because they don't feel safe at school. Learn more about The Bully Project here.
Yes, girls, he's finally legal!
In honor of the occasion, the Biebs made a big announcement during his Ellen interview: "On March 26, my first single is coming out and it’s called ‘Boyfriend."
This was followed my Ellen singing, what she guessed would be the words to the song!
They also discussed his plans to transition into acting and many charitable endeavors Justin is involved with. Justin plans to use his birthday to help charity: Water; a non-profit organization that provides clean drinking water to people in developing nations. “I want to use my bday to help others. If u want please donate $18 to @charitywater on my 18th bday!” he wrote on Twitter.
Sloth is definitely a deadly sin - deadly enough to make an emotional birthday girl cry!
Girl-next-door actress Kristen Bell just gave us another reason why it is so damn difficult to hate her. The 31-year-old star from Veronicas Mars fame stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently for a little chat. Currently, Bell is appearing in the Showtime series House of Lies and is also featured in the upcoming film Big Miracle. The real story here, however, is when the Bell excitedly talks about the memorable birthday she had last year.
Everyone look out for Paris Jackson .....this is it!
Yesterday, the legendary music icon's 13-year-old stopped by Ellen to talk about getting her first role in Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys.
Paris talked about her love for acting and her admiration for her father's childhood role in the Moonwalk.
She revealed, "My dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn't know he could act. I saw that and I said, "Wow, I want to be just like him."
Even though she's got big shoes to fill, she's already on the right track with the help of MJ. "He would go 'OK, in this scene, you're going to cry.' And I'd cry on the spot!"
Boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom - baby, she got that 'Super Bass'!
This past week on Ellen, eight-year-old Sophia Grace was surprised by the one and only, Nicki Minaj! Sophia Grace has a YouTube channel where she sang "Super Bass" (censored version I would hope!) and the video has had over 9 million views. And she only posted this video on September 19th! My oh my, this girl has turned into a YouTube sensation in a matter of 3 weeks!
Nicki Minaj came out and spoke to Sophia Grace and her 'hype woman' Rosie, who is Sophia's cousin. Minaj also sang with them which was adorable. Audience members were crying while little Sophia was belting out the words to the famous hit.
An amazing group of British intelligence hackers replaced bomb instructions within an online magazine produced by radical Al-Qaeda supporters with a garbled code. That code, when desciphered, was revealed to be a web page of recipes for “The Best Cupcakes in America”, part of the website for the Ellen DeGeneres show.
The Telegraph has a brief description of the website hackers linked to:
Written by Dulcy Israel and produced by Main Street Cupcakes in Hudson, Ohio, it said “the little cupcake is big again” adding: “Self-contained and satisfying, it summons memories of childhood even as it's updated for today’s sweet-toothed hipsters.”
Jane Lynch, Anne Hathaway and Ellen DeGeneres have started a campaign for gay rights by writing a letter to Barack Obama in the aim to legalize gay unions throughout America.
Martin Sheen, Eric Mccormack, Rufus Wainwright and Melissa Etheridge are among those who also signed the letter.
It reads: "Marriage is the coming together of two lives, marked by a public promise of love and responsibility in front of friends and family. And marriage brings not only public respect and personal significance, but also a safety net of legal protections, rights, and responsibilities for which there is no substitute."
He was invited last week to the Ellen DeGeneres Show and he promised that he would surprise her. He arrived with a fresh new hair cut and brought Ellen a little "souvenir", a box with a lock of his hair. The day after, the host put it to auction on eBay. Within one hour, the bid was already up to $10,000. It was sold today for $40,668! All of the money will be given to animal rescue organization the Gentle Barn Foundation.
The buyer will have the chance to get to meet Bieber as soon as he'll be back on The Ellen Show.
This kid can definitely sell anything!
It's already hard to find a birthday present for your mom, so you can imagine how hard it can be to find one for someone who already has everything...
But the producers of the show solved the problem and came up with a great surprise: they asked Julia Roberts and Colin Farell to stop by to wish Ellen a happy birthday on today's show.
The Pretty Woman completely stunned the host show when she arrived on stage with a necklace as a present.
As for Farell, he brought a huge birthday cake to her friend and a T-shirt with a photo of the pair kissing.
She has dated John Mayer, Carson Daly, Joey Lawrence and was engaged to actor Ross McCall until 2008. Now, she's with actor/filmmaker Alex Beh. And all that the Ghost Whisperer's star wants is that her man put a ring on her finger!
Invited on Ellen DeGeneres Show, she reveals that she has three wedding rings in hold at Tiffany's and that she can't wait to get married...
"I actually have three because I feel like I'm doing the guy a favor. Women are very confusing. We never know what we want and we're not very good at nailing that down for them. I feel like I don't want to be upset if he picks a bad ring. If it gets to that conversation. If marriage comes up, I'm like, "You know what's so weird. There is this store and there are three rings in it... And if you chose one of these three, I'm going to be really excited. And if you go off on your own, we can have an awful, awkward moment. So why would you want to do that?"
You know what you have to do now Alex...
