H&M
Spring is officially here and it is time to clean out your closet and think of becoming environmentally friendly. Going green has never been easier to do since international fashion giant H&M unveiled their new clothing line and service, entitled H&M CONSCIOUS. Customers can bring their old clothes into an H&M location to have them reused, reworn, or recycled. In return for their old clothes, customers receive a voucher for 15% off an item of their choice for each bag they bring. Customers are only allowed to bring in two bags of clothing per day.
Beyonce, the fresh face of H&M's 2013 Summer line, is here to usher us in to our newest online shopping addiction, an H&M oline reltail site. Undoubtedly, online shopping is one of the biggest perks of living in the 21st century. Anything you can ever possibly want to buy can be shipped directly to your door without you having to get out of your pajamas. Modern luxury at its finest. You can order anything you want except for H&M’s apparel and accessories, that is. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve forgotten that H&M lacks a United States online shopping site. What gives? Americans, especially those that aren’t in reach of the Swedish company’s almost 300 stores nationwide, deserve the fashionable and affordable clothing direct to their door just as much as their European cousins across the pond.
Heidi Klum can now put another judging position on her resume. The supermodel has landed a new gig as the newest host on America's Got Talent. She will be the fourth judge on the show created by Simon Cowell. She joins host Nick Cannon and other judges Howie Mandel, radio host Howard Stern, and former Spice Girl Mel B. Heidi is no stranger to television as she is also the host on the popular longtime fashion-design competition show Project Runway as well as model competition Germany's Next Top Model in her native country.
Klum is due to join the other judges for the nationwide auditions set to start on today in New Orleans. The show is open to singers, dancers, magicians, and other performers with a chance to win a $1 million prize. NBC is hoping that Klum and Mel B will boost ratings for the summer show, which experienced record low numbers during the finale in September with less than 11 million viewers.
We bet sexy Heidi will bring more of an appeal to viewers and Mel B. will also sass up the show.
There's no bigger force to be reckoned with than Swedish House Mafia. Announcing their final run as a trio with their most extensive outing ever, "One Last Tour," the Swedes have now announced they will be giving back to the victims of Hurricane Sandy and play a show at Hammerstein Ballroom on February 28 before they play New York's Madison Square Garden on March 1 and Barclays Center on March 2-4. Their final shows will be the grand finale as they open Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 15 and close out the festival on March 24...one last time.
Ah, peplum. We remember when we first saw you make your folded re-appearance circa 2010 on bodycon skirts and fun little dresses. Now it's 2012 and we see you so often we can't believe there aren't peplum PJs on the market. But even as you commercialize yourself, you scare some consumers. Don’t lie-- will you make our hips look wider? If we wear you out to dinner will our date question whether we’re hiding a food baby?
Fear not, the peplum-phobic. This trend is one that anyone can rock. Here's how—just use the fad to accentuate your favorite feature. If you love your waist, let the narrowest part of your ribcage do the talking by letting the peplum taper begin above the belly button. A tighter top like the Parker Sequin Peplum Top from Shopbop will highlight where you are most slender.

“I heard about this frog…” it wasn’t a very tiny frog, but it was very special. I didn’t find it in the jungle, but instead Hammerstein Ballroom; and indeed, my world is changed forever.
As darkness descended upon the crowd, the rumbling from above began. The growing, anticipatory hum of amplifiers, accompanied by neon diamonds lit up behind the stage, rained down an overwhelming feeling of epic-ness. The feeling? E.T. didn’t have a spacecraft of this magnitude. Suddenly, rolling synth overtook the airwaves and the universally cosmic message of “Intro” came belting out of front-man Anthony Gonzalez’ mouth… “Carry On”.
I have always admired the sparkling, exquisite designs that Judith Leiber has created for countless celebrities on countless red carpets for countless events and premieres! Glenn Close, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Sophia Bush, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are just a few celebrities, models and actresses that have been seen carrying decadent Judith Leiber purses. Now, life can be your runway! I'm really excited about this new line of contemporary Leiber bags because it means that more of us have the option to enjoy something special from this timeless designer. Not to be without the certain dazzle that she's well-known for, each bag has an extra-special clasp at the top. Many are adorned with attractive crystals and stones! There are interesting textures that tie into the latest trends, but these bags are statement and investment pieces that can last a lifetime.
