HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM
There's no bigger force to be reckoned with than Swedish House Mafia. Announcing their final run as a trio with their most extensive outing ever, "One Last Tour," the Swedes have now announced they will be giving back to the victims of Hurricane Sandy and play a show at Hammerstein Ballroom on February 28 before they play New York's Madison Square Garden on March 1 and Barclays Center on March 2-4. Their final shows will be the grand finale as they open Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 15 and close out the festival on March 24...one last time.
UK dubstep producer, Gemini has had quite a few months to add to his list of musical accomplishments. Born Thomas Slinger, the 22-year-old dubstep producer is inching closer and closer to redefining the techniques we typically see in that genre. While running his own label, Inspected Records, the young buck recently released his new album, Mercury EP, and has remixed everyone from Lana Del Ray to Diddy Dirty Money to Kelis.

“I heard about this frog…” it wasn’t a very tiny frog, but it was very special. I didn’t find it in the jungle, but instead Hammerstein Ballroom; and indeed, my world is changed forever.
As darkness descended upon the crowd, the rumbling from above began. The growing, anticipatory hum of amplifiers, accompanied by neon diamonds lit up behind the stage, rained down an overwhelming feeling of epic-ness. The feeling? E.T. didn’t have a spacecraft of this magnitude. Suddenly, rolling synth overtook the airwaves and the universally cosmic message of “Intro” came belting out of front-man Anthony Gonzalez’ mouth… “Carry On”.
Good news for New Yorkers: if you missed electro-duo Justice’s Terminal 5 show in March, you’re getting a second chance to catch them in action! The French producers will spin at the Hammerstein Ballroom on October 21 and presale tickets go on sale today.
Following the success of their recently released “New Lands” EP, it’s no surprise Justice wants to share their studio-savvy skills with their fans across the world. The EP features five different versions of the track, including the original, a live version, and remixes from Falcon, A-Trak and Sebastian.
M83 has the tendency to sell out their shows. Quickly. Earlier this month they sold out Terminal 5 and they already sold out their Summerstage performance in August.
For some reason, however, their show on October 2 at the Hammerstein Ballroom has yet to sell out. While this is good news for those who still want tickets for that date, they must be running out quickly, as M83 just announced they would be playing another date, 10/3, at the ballroom.
Rejoice! But if things go like they usually do, snatch up those tickets soon. Check this out for more information!
M83 stormed onto the scene last year with the highly acclaimed album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. Although they've been around since 2001, they are only now getting some of the notoriety they have been seeking. They've only just begun playing huge shows at festivals and arenas, but the band, fronted by Spanish-French musician Anthony Gonzalez, has really come into their own. Playing a mix of electronic pop and 'showgaze' style rock, M83 have successfully crossed over as a band EVERYONE likes. They are playing on Oct. 2nd, at the Hammerstein Ballroom, which is an insane venue.

The time has come to un-box those classic Adidas shelltoes, throw on that vintage Run DMC t-shirt, and join with all the other b-boy and b-girl culture freaks for this year’s Red Bull BC One break dancing competition. The tournament, which has been hosted internationally in Brazil, South Africa, and cities across Europe, will be returning to New York City, the birthplace of hip-hop, at the Hammerstein Ballroom on November 18.
