Save the date! On November 15th The Humane Society will host their national To The Rescue Benefit. The event will be held in Cipriani on 42nd Street. All proceeds from the event will go towards helping The Animal Rescue Team. The Humane Society's Animal Rescue Team works to save animals from natural disasters and cruelties nationwide. From hurricanes, to animal fighting operations, to hoarding and neglect- the Animal Rescue Team is on the front lines at a moment's notice to rescue animals.

This night of food, drinks, and live music at the Todd English Food Hall at the Plaza Hotel (1 West 59th Street) will be supporting fitness and health education in our nation's neediest schools.
The main reception is from 7 pm - 9pm. You can choose from two different tickets options. The first is a patron ticket which supports 40 kids in one of our Mighty Milers programs and includes a VIP reception from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the main reception. A patron ticket is available for $1,000 and also includes a VIP cocktail hour private reception with pro runners, including Meb Keflezighi and Deena Kastor, a signed copy of Cooking in Everyday English by Todd English and entrance to the main reception from 7-9p.m.
The Doe Fund held their annual gala on October 24 at Cipriani 42nd Street to celebrate the fund and those who have found success through its Ready, Willing & Able program. The Doe Fund is a non-profit organization that helps men that were once incarcerated help better themselves through programs offered by the fund.
Feeling as though your inner guitar god is ready to take the spotlight? Then head to Guitar Mash's benefit concert on November 17th at City Winery to jam with a cavalcade of celebrated musicians and raise money for music education programs throughout New York.
Founded in 2012 by guitarist Mark Stewart (Paul Simon, Bang on a Can), Guitar Mash is a nonprofit initiative that celebrates the communal and social power of the guitar by creating opportunities for guitarists of all abilities, ages and cultures to play together. The second installment of its annual benefit will see musicians including Top Chef’s Tom Colicchio, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, The Roots’ Captain Kirk Douglas and former Saturday Night Live bandleader G.E. Smith joined by over 150 other guitarists for an enormous play- and sing-along. Chords and lyrics will be available for download one week prior to the event and projected on a large screen at the event.

On November 14th at The Bowery Hotel, from 6-11pm some of New York’s best chefs are coming together to help provide education to children in rural Africa.
This year marks the third annual “Chefs for Impact” fundraising dinner, and will feature a spectacular eight-course gourmet tasting menu, cocktail reception, live music, and an auction with one-of-a-kind items.
All proceeds from “Chefs for Impact” will benefit Impact Network, a New York-based non-profit organization that brings
e-Learning to rural Africa.

This spectacular display will feature the panoply of sculptures made entirely of unopened canned food that will then be donated to City Harvest to be distributed to approx. 400 soup kitchens and food pantries throughout the city.
