Same Sky Jewelry, a trade not aid jewelry initiative that supports African women living with HIV/AIDS, will be presenting their latest jewelry at Ana Tzarev Gallery on Friday, December 14 from 5:30-8:30pm. Same Sky founder, Francine LeFrak will be there, along with RHONY's Ramona Singer, as well as co-hosts Carol Alt, Analisa Balares, Kim Brizzolara, Tas Dossal, Lucia Hwong Gordon and more. The new line of jewelry will include their signature hand-blown glass beaded bracelets and necklaces, fabric wrap bracelets, cufflinks, and more, all of which are hand crocheted by artisans in Africa.

This Canadian chain which specializes in luxe for less, offers classic, stylish apparel and accessories for men, women and children at unbelievable prices. The retailer has recently opened three stores in New York City alone, with two additional locations in Long Island and New Jersey (blink and you may have missed the Joe Fresh East Hampton outpost which was up and running for the season, this past summer) .

It’s that time of year again. Your Christmas shopping should be well underway. If you’re like me, you’ve spent the last couple weeks procrastinating, trying to muster up the energy to head down to Union Square and face the crowds. One thing that gets me motivated is food and there are a lot of great lunch spots within minutes of prime shopping locations. Here are a few of my favorites.
Out the Door, sister restaurant to the famed The Slanted Door, is a Vietnamese restaurant located on the Concourse Level of the Westfield Mall. I'm usually not a huge fan of Vietnamese fare, but Out the Door keeps the flavor profiles clean and the options vast.

Starting this Friday, November 4th, the California Market Center presents a Holiday Sample Sale that will repeat every Friday between now and December 17th. That's seven chances to score designer duds at below-retail prices.
New York City is covered in snow, which leaves us with two choices: to haul out our boots and fur coats, or to download as many movies as possible and order takeout until the New Year. I actually chose to do both, and was quite surprised by the traffic I saw in the streets of Soho and West Village. In fact, remind me to email Marc Jacobs about the chaotic lines outside his Bleecker accessories store. Yet, I am delighted to see that so many people are shopping for fashion in such nasty weather. Nonetheless, the Joonbug crew had a little shopping of their own to do this past weekend. Friday was the evening to be downtown at the Shecky's Holiday Night Out event - a somewhat secretive traveling shopping event, filled with vendors and complimentarily cocktails. With such a massive crowd, I did two things instantly: I ran to the restroom to check my hair and then ran to the back to see if I could find Balmain at 99% off. Though I was fooled by the crowd, I was pleasantly pleased with the cute and delicate vendors; every one had its own personal story to what they were doing or selling. Items ranged from jewelry to graphic tees and from spa facials to Chi flat irons.
