With Lindsay Lohan being oh too familiar with the court system at this point, you’d think she hates it or is at least sick of going back. Well sources close to the troubled actress tell TMZ Lindsay is actually thankful for the tough love shown by Judge Stephanie Sautner. She’s apparently crediting Judge Sautner’s no B.S. attitude for saving her career.
Sources tell TMZ, “LiLo wasn't a big fan of Sautner in the beginning -- but she now realizes that without Sautner laying out a blueprint for success ... she never would've gotten her act together.”
Ja Rule. Remember him? The rapper who sounded like a mix between DMX and Cookie Monster? He also occasionally sang, or at least attempted to, and we ate it all up. What really put the artist in the spotlight were his top-selling singles with Jennifer Lopez ("I'm Real" remix,) as well as fellow labelmate Ashanti ("Mesmerize", "Always On Time", etc.).
Unfortunately, the former go-to recording artist for any musical collaboration in the early 2000s has run out of luck. Wednesday 06/08/11, Ja Rule was found guilty of gun possession, way back from an arrest in 2007, and was sentenced to two years in prison. He will initially be placed in a city jail as of now and will soon be transferred to a state prison.
For her most recent positive drug test, Lohan is heading back to jail until October 22. Seemingly understanding of her highly anticipated return to the clink, Lindsay was calm and collected and will spend the majority of October behind bars.
Ok, so apparently T.I. might not have a day job much longer. Clifford Harris, the rapper known as T.I. should be on an amazing high. His movie Takers, which he executive produced and starred in, is number one at the box office. He has a new album out this month and has finally made his long time union with Tameka "Tiny" Coddle legal. Maybe that just isn't enough for someone who has everything though. As of just yesterday, the rapper and his wife were pulled over in West Hollywood after police suspected marijuana in the vehicle. After a search of the car, police discovered methamphetamines in the form of pills that "resembled Ecstasy," a spokesperson for the police department commented.
Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail after only serving 14 days of a 90 day jail sentence. She is now headed to a rehabilitation program where she will spend three months trying to get sober. Away from her family and the press, Lohan has this one chance to get clean and to get her life sorted out.
The 39-year-old DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, started serving a 90 day sentence yesterday for violating probation from his 2002 conviction for reckless driving.
He surrendered at a Los Angeles courthouse yesterday afternoon and authorities transported him to a county lockup.
He has been in and out of jail in Arizona and Florida for the last few years.
At the time of the incident, DMX pleaded no contest to reckless driving and a DUI charge was dropped.
The judge has ruled that he cannot serve any of his time on house arrest or work release. But just like Lilo herself, it's likely that he will not serve his entire 90-day sentence due to chronic overcrowding.
A list of Lindsay Lohan's jail restrictions have been released, and the list ain't pretty. July 20 is going to be a fun day for all of us!
It's been said that she'll be making herself comfortable at the same place our very own Paris Hilton did, in Lynwood, CA. Fortunately for Lindsay (and so very unfortunately for us), because she's high profile, she'll get her own shower and cell.
As per protocol at Lynwood, LiLo will have to do without her cancer sticks. This is actually something positive. Good job Lindsay- this may be the one time I can't make fun of you.
I love this next one though...No makeup! She looks like a hot mess even with her face all caked up, so I can't even imagine what she looks like without it.
Lindsay Lohan is already telling people she's going to need at least a cool $1 million for her to spill her prison secrets once she's out. In other words, she's going to need bank if she's going to tell people about having to sleep on a cot and showering -gasp- communally. Let's face it though, it's probably the first check she'll have seen in a long, long time.
"Financially, it's the best thing that could have ever happened to Lindsay," a magazine insider tells PopEater.com. "It's no secret that Lindsay has been in financial trouble for a while. She will earn more money from her post-prison interview than she ever earned acting." Uh yeah, that's for sure. I feel like the last good movie she did was 'The Parent Trap', and that was a remake.
