Sean Paul Hosts Preview Party For New Album 'Tomahawk Technique'

Sean Paul recently hosted a preview party for his upcoming album Tomahawk Technique at The Darby Downstairs. Party-goers enjoyed Voli Vodka cocktails while they rocked out to both classic Sean Paul tunes like "Temperature" and "Get Busy," as well as songs from his soon-to-be-released album. The first single off his album, "Got 2 Luv U," features Alexis Jordan and has already become a Top Ten hit in eight countries. The Jamaican dancehall and reggae star is working with a handful of talented producers, including Benny Blanco, Rico Love, and Stargate, and he even makes his own debut as a producer on his track titled "Roll wid di Don."

Yeah Mon: New Jamaican Themed Bar Hits the East Village

The men behind Ninth Ward, Nic Ratner and Robert Morgan, are slated to open a new spot this Friday. Kingston Hall. Located in the former Holy Basil space in the East Village, it's said to resemble a Jamaican mansion taken over by '60s hipsters...no joke.

The theme is obviously Jamaica in 1962, complete with two fireplaces, and a pool table (do they need fireplaces in Jamaica?).

The new spot will be serving up cocktails in coconuts (we expect nothing less), as well as pub grub with a Jamaican flair, such as beef patties.

We look forward to checking out this new and unusual bar!

Robyn's new music video : Dancehall Queen

Robyn's new single has a lot of Jamaican influences as you can hear in the riddim. This song is co-directed by Diplo, Red Foxx and Pomp&Clout.

As a fan of Jamaican music, I always pay attention to Diplo's work. This guy has a great feeling with reggae music and transform it to something of his own. Remember he was one of the two guys who are responsible of the Major Lazer project.

You can also see that the Swedish singer still admires the Japanese culture (remember her former single called Konichiwa Bitches).

The new album "Body Talk" is out now. Robyn is on tour.
