Anniversaries. For us it’s usually something our significant other berates us about forgetting or something that we hastily prepare just in time. But this Wednesday there is an anniversary that we’ve had on our calendars for months. On Wednesday, February 23, LIV will be hosting their two year anniversary party for their weekly Wednesday blowout, Dirty Hairy. In the dark days prior to the inception of this mid week shindig, Miamians were forced into d-list clubs with less than stellar music and lack luster ambiance. But then the sun shown down on our midweek mishaps and the folks at LIV brought us Dirty Hairy.
Halloween might be synonymous with pumpkins and goblins, but in Miami it means one thing; an excuse to dress up while partying. And in the nightlife capital of the South, the celebration continues all week long. What better place to celebrate the #1 party week of the year than at the #1 club on the beach with some of the worlds top DJs spinning house and open format?
Wednesday October 27, Dirty Hairy presents Riva Starr, easily one of the hottest DJs of modern house at present, alongside resident DJs Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who. Starr’s music is an eclectic mix of genres and world influences.
This week, LIV brings you another chart topping lineup of events, starting October 20, with Dirty Hairy Wednesdays and a live performance by actor and rapper, Dirt Nasty, whose popularity spawned from his MTV VJ days. He will be playing alongside resident DJs Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who.
Following Dirt Nasty’s performance, and kicking off the weekend, FlipSide Fridays brings you Joe Dert. The former drummer for metal band Endo, and Miami native, has performed alongside big names such as DJ AM and Ozzy Osbourne, and is known for his high energy sets and eclectic dance mixes.
It’s the week of Columbus Day Regatta, one of the most highly anticipated weekend events in Miami, and it’s only fitting that the hottest, trendiest club on South Beach would have the hottest weekly lineup.
This epic week at LIV starts Wednesday October 6, when Dirty Hairy presents Skeet Skeet alongside resident DJs Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who.
Coco De Ville presents its Tuesday night party, Favela Chic, with Resident DJ King Benjamin and special guest DJ Jessica Who. This Tuesday September 28, dance among the most beautiful and trendy people to grace the South Beach scene as King Benjamin spins open format into the late night hours. Tuesday nights have never looked so good. Doors open at 11 pm.
If you're looking for a little extra something to get you over the hump that is the Wednesday of a long work week, look no further than LIV at the Fontainebleau tonight. DJ Samantha Ronson will be performing starting at 11pm. Ronson is probably better know as Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend, but that doesn't mean she is lacking as a musician. Ronson has been spinning for the past decade (well before the Lohan years) and is the younger sister of famed producer Mark Ronson. Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who will also have sets tonight.
