As a part of a L'Oreal sponsored design challenge, the 10 CFDA Fashion Fund finalists were asked to design ensembles for "Red Carpet Rebels" earlier this year.
The Fashion Fund Finalists include Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra; Pamela Love for Pamela Love Jewelry; Antonio Azzuolo for A.A.; Carlos Campos; Shane Gabier and Chris Peters for Creatures of the Wind, Alexa Adams and Flora Gill for Ohne Titel; Michelle Ochs and Carly Cushnie for Cushnie et Ochs; Dana Lorenz for Fenton/Fallon; Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty for Suno; and Soraya Silchenstedt for Finn Jewelry.
Last night, CFDA, Council of Fashion Designers of America, announced the 10 finalists for the 2011 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund. For 8 consecutive years, the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund has provided support and encouragement for emerging American designers. This year's winner will receive $300,000, a chance to design a capsule collection for the fund's head sponsor J.Crew, and mentorship from individuals highly regarded in the American fashion industry. Past CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund winners include Billy Reid, Alexander Wang, Doo.Ri, Proenza Schouler, Rogan, Sophie Theallet, and Trovata. The 2011 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund nominees are:
- 3/15 - "Get me Demarchelier!" Interested in Victor Demarchelier - the son of famed Patrick Dermachelier? Clic Galleries is presenting Victor Demarchelier's first solo show in New York through April 5th, with an opening reception tonight.
