KATE HUDSON
Films have always played a huge role in shaping fashion and trends, past and present. What better way to reference ensembles and styling techniques than through our favorite stars and storylines? For all of you fashionistas who have yet to see one, two, or all of them, we highly recommend you watch these timeless films for your creative, fashionable needs. Hopefully they will leave you just as inspired as they left us!
The condition of our hair during the summer changes a lot more than we realize. As much as we may like to be in the sun and water for hours on end, protecting your hair is key. Not only is it wise, but using a product for your hair type is essential.
Sure, there are endless products that could do the job, but sometimes you've got to mix this with that and that with this --and then before you know it you're spending a fortune on becoming your own mixologist!
Bumble and bumble's hair line makes life somewhat easier. One of their best products is Bumble is the Leave in Conditioner. A leave in conditioner is your friend mostly all year round --but during the summer it's a life-saver.
It might be time for ice cold lemonade and poolside lounging in other parts of the country, but if you're living in San Francisco, it's still way too chilly to strap on a bikini. However, that doesn’t mean you can't still sport the latest trends!
Also, if your bank account is a little shy, you can still get great boho maxi skirts that are both stylish and affordable. You don't have to be Kate Hudson, Vanessa Hudgens, Jennifer Aniston or reality star Lauren Conrad to rock this trend! Now that maxi skirts have officially made an encore this summer, stalk local used clothing stores such as Crossroads Trading Co. and Buffolo Exchange -where we've spotted an impressive collection from brands like French Connection and BCBG.
Oh, don’t forget to pair those skirts with oversized chunky belts, spaghetti strap tank or maybe even a cuffed boho blouse!
She gave birth to son Ryder when she was 24. Now she's 32, pregnant for the second time, and she feels younger than ever!
She was Sunday at the press conference for her new movie Something Borrowed and she told the press a bit more about being a young pregnant mom.
"When I had Ryder, I didn’t feel young. I didn’t feel like I was having a baby young … [he was] my family’s first grandkid and to me it just felt normal.”
But compared to many of her friends, she realized how young she was when she gave birth to Ryder.
This feels like déjà vu. Kate Hudson ventured to Paris this weekend to attend a sold-out Muse concert at the Stade de France. The next day she was spotted prancing around the City of Lights with Matthew Bellamy, the Muse frontman. The pair even enjoyed a late lunch at the Brasserie Lipp before making a quick exit when paparazzi showed up.
Kate has made an art of alternating athletes, actors, and rock stars as boyfriends. Do the names Chris Robinson, Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard, Lance Armstrong, and A-Rod ring a bell? Let's see how long this one lasts...
As much as we hate revisiting award shows to talk about who wore what (really, who does that?) we can't help to say how pleased we are to see the trend of white gowns on the red carpet. Or at least, the trend from the small selection of looks that we actually bothered with.
To the left, Kate Hudson divinely donned Emilio Pucci, with a low back drop, complimenting her quite well.
And although this may be a first for us, Peter Dundas....well done!
There wasn't too much more to ramble about, regarding SAG - unless over-bedazzlement, terrible Christian Louboutin gown shoes and awkward peplum inspirations are ramble material.
At the least it was more pleasing than the Golden Globes.
That's all.
Fergie partied like a rockstar at her bachelorette party last night in Santa Monica with groom-to-be Josh Duhamel and other friends. The gorgeous twosome will tie the knot on Saturday in a super-secret location. They’ll be joined by close friends Justin Timberlake, his ladylove Jessica Biel, Kate Hudson, and Josh’s Transformers co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. We’re surprised the Black Eyed Peas songstress left the comfort of her gym to take a break from her severe bride-to-be workouts. People.com said the bride-to-be and guests feasted on Kobe Beef sliders, tuna tartare and shrimp skewers. It sounds like the loved up twosome had fun, but where were all the strippers?? Ah, to be in love and forget about the little things. Congrats, you two!
Last night on CBS, the people had their say on movies and entertainment in 2008. The Queen, Latifah that is, hosted the star studded bash from the Shrine Auditorium in downtown L.A. Fans nationwide logged on to vote for their movie, music and television favorites in the months leading up to last night’s ceremony.
The People’s Choice Awards were fairly low-key this year, no doubt a result of how the awards were pretty much cancelled last year due to the writer’s strike. Even though the People’s Choice Awards don’t really act as a harbinger for more prestigious awards, the night went very well for a few stars in particular.
Continuing with the bridal theme of their new film Bride Wars, actresses Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway attended the New York premiere in bride and groom inspired looks. Hudson wore a beaded and embroidered white Oscar de la Renta dress and accessorized with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. while Hathaway donned a feminine tuxedo from Band of Outsiders. Both women were styled by Rachel Zoe. Bride Wars opens nation wide January 9. [WWD]
