KATIE GRAND
Last night when I saw T editor, Stefano Tonchi, at the Steven Klein 30 Seasons of Akris/Bergdorf Goodman event, the last thought in my mind was waking up to hear rumors of him possibly becoming the editor-in-chief of W Magazine.
That explains his grin.
As we previously posted, W Magazine is in a bit of a crunch, parting ways with WWD, and taking some of its senior staff from the magazine with it.
The LOVE magazine staff has just released the multiple covers for their third issue, and we, well, love it!
Conversely, we don't know if we love the magazine or Katie Grand in general more - but, we still die for Katie and her 5-minute off-the-runway selections she brags of via her blog.
Even more interesting?
Even though Katie sought to capture the diversity of beauty on her multiple LOVE mag covers, plenty are in an uproar over the lack curvy models.
We beg to differ - of course - considering Beth Ditto graced the covers, and that was just enough or more for us. Oops!

The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” has always rung true, and especially in tough economic times it’s a motto we should all embrace. Love is the new style magazine being launched in the U.K. by Conde Nast, despite the economy and cut backs in the U.S.
The bi-annual magazine will focus on fashion and art, and will be under the direction of Katie Grand, former editor-in-chief of Pop magazine. The first issue is scheduled for March 2009 and will hit stands Feb. 19.
“Edgy” and “high end” are the words used to describe Love by Conde Nast’s U.K. managing director. With the promise of pretty glossy spreads to yearn after, all we need is “Love” to know high end, luxury fashion is still alive.
