We're in the midst of winter's coldest month and there's no better time than now to take a well-deserved vacation or at the very least think "tropical." Joonbug recently had the opportunity to chat with Sharon Lavi, one of the designers/founders of the trendy Nieves Lavi brand. Celeb fashion fans include Kourtney Kardashian, Kelly Ripa, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes, Katharine McPhee and more. Nieves Lavi is making its return back to Resort with their 2013 collection, marking the brand’s exciting return to the colorful season. Inspired by the sundrenched beaches of Saint Barthélemy, the dresses and tunics evoke the sensual, relaxed aesthetic of a lush paradise that’s Parisian chic meets casual Caribbean. Designed in New York’s fashion district by Sam Nieves and Sharon Lavi, this duo understands what flatters a woman's shape and curves in an effortless way. What inspired you to create the popular Nieves Lavi line? We wanted the freedom to express our own distinct vision. We wanted to create an attainable designer line. Tell me about your background in the fashion industry. I've spent seven years in design, textile Design, and Marketing and Accessory Design . Before I founded Nieves Lavi, I was a Senior Designer for Harve Benard and a designer for Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang, where I also worked on accessories. I started my career in fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. What are some of the seasonal "must-haves" from the collection? Describe the resort/spring 2013 look. The Resort collection is geared towards a chic and effortless vacation--it features simple yet sophisticated styles that can fit any fashionista. Key pieces include easy fitting tunics and short or long drawstring caftans that flatter everyone. What is the one piece that you would suggest for a vacation get-away? The must-have piece in my opinion is the CDC China silk caftan in one of our prints. I love the Aqua color snake print worn from the beach to a restaurant with only a change of a bag -- pair it with a straw clutch and gold wedge sandals and you' re good for sunset drinks in St Barts or any place else! What's your advice to someone looking to get into the fashion industry? Dress appropriately for the interview, always show up on time, be pleasant and happy to help. These are the qualities everyone appreciates and seeks out. What do you pack in your own beach bag? Nieves Lavi cover up, lip gloss, sunglasses, Clarins 20SPF, an interesting book or a magazine, and a bottle of water -- I keep it simple.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since the Kardashian sisters teamed with Sears to debut the Kardashian Kollection line. No one can forget the signature curvy silhouettes of their first pieces, which included a palette of neutrals and enticing animal print geared toward fashionistas of all ages. Just in time for the fall season, the designers’ latest creations are hitting stores with a lot to choose from. Their new pieces showcase everything from comfortable knit sweaters to exotic looking gold bangles and hoop earrings to black and white formal attire including dresses, blazers, and button-down shirts with alluring accents of lace and animal print. There is also an exciting new line of eyewear that’s sure to make even the geek chic girls appear more glamorous.

Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her baby girl Penelope Scotland Disick on July 8. Weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces, she is the latest addition to the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

The E! reality star has opened up to Us Weekly about how amazing motherhood is and how big brother Mason has embraced his little sister.

"Nothing could prepare me for how hard I fell in love with her," she gushed to the mag. The 33-year-old mother and her boyfriend of six years Scott Disick, 29, and Mason are all adjusting to their new foursome.

While Kourtney expressed that Scott has "improved" as a father, he has yet to change a diaper. Someone needs to get that man a clothes pin and some baby wipes. Chop, chop Scott!

After a clothing line, weight-loss products, TV shows and fragrances, it's no surprise the world famous Kardashian sisters are taking their beauty expertise to the next level and teaming up with Boldface Licensing to launch their very own makeup line called 'Khroma Beauty.' The line will include false eyelashes, skin illuminators, various mascaras and "Kardazzle Compacts," along with a larger list of products available in 2013. The makeup line will offer fans of Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney a chance to get those gorgeous, lush eyelashes and that flawless glowing skin that all three girls have. The girls are expected to come out with a holiday cosmetics line this winter and the full line will be out on shelves next year.

Oh no, it’s the next generation! Just when you thought Kim had ruined the Kardashian name forever (wait, we never thought that, this divorce is just getting better!), one of the smaller “K’s” decides to bare all. Sixteen year old Kendall Jenner has released photos of her Flavor photo shoot and she looks incredible.

The model and E! reality star dons a selection of tiny two-pieces for the racy pictorial, which she shared on her official blog Friday. "The pics were taken by the amazing Sinisha Nisevic at the famous Goldstein House in Beverly Hills," Jenner wrote. "Flavor magazine is a fashion and lifestyle magazine in Paris and it is such an amazing honor to be featured."

Looks like Kourtney might be the next Kardashian to be walking down the aisle.

Entertainment Tonight was informed by a source close to the Kardashian family that Kourtney and her long time boyfriend - and father of their adorable son Mason - Scott Disick might be meeting at the alter soon!

The oldest Kardashian sister also announced yesterday that she is expecting again. Looks like Mason is going to be a big brother now. The family must be so excited!

The Kardashian clan is known for having extravagant and lavishing weddings, but not Kourt. It is being said that she might not even have her wedding on TV. Now this is a shocker considering almost every momentous event the family has had over the past few years has been televised. Kourtney even had the birth of Mason filmed.

It seems that unlike her sisters, Kourtney wants to have a low-key wedding with just family and close friends and the ceremony is likely to be held in the Kardashian family’s home.

We like that she is having a more private wedding. It makes it more intimate and personal rather than bold and glamorous.

Culture Club threw its grand reopening party last night, and they certainly did it right! With a Michael Jackson impersonator, non-stop '80s music, and themed drinks like "Vanilla Ice," "Bon Jovi," and "Smurfirita," attendees were cutting a rug like they were the stars of Footloose. The multi-level club featured Saturday Night Fever inspired floors, paintings of yester-year, and plenty of neon colors. With the help of partner Debbie Gibson, VnC Cocktails, and South Beach Smoke, the bash was one of the most colorful (literally and figuratively) so far this year. We even got a surprise live performance from Debbie Gibson of Shake Your Love and Only in my Dreams. Notables in attendance included Kourtney Kardashian, VnC ambassador Scott Disick, Nanette Lepore (who also designed the club's uniforms!), Project Runway’s Joshua McKinley, DJ Kiss, DJ M.O.S, and Mick Boogie.

Khloe Kardashian (the down to earth sister of Kim), is living it up all day, all night as she celebrates her 27th Birthday! The Keeping up with the Kardashians Celeb, recently threw a party at the popular Las Vegas Nightclub, Chateau, on the 17th; in attendance were Kim,and Rob Kardashian, Kris Humphries, and of course hubby, Lamar Odom.

There was nothing but smiles at this bash, and Khloe looks radiant --she is wearing a bra this time!

In recent Kardashian news, a video has surfaced, but this time around, the Kardashians actually meant for it to come out. The entire family took a vacation in Mexico a few weeks back and evidently shot a music video of their own for Katy Perry’s “E.T.”.

This video is perhaps the most ridiculous footage from the Kardashian’s since Kendall and Kylie were seen dancing on a stripper pole when they were preteens, thanks to the wise Brody Jenner.
