Glamour has announced their best dressed women of 2012 including 50 A-listers, from socialites, to musicians, to actresses and models. All were handpicked off of the fashion-forward apple tree and given a thumbs up for the attire they have sported so far this year. Some of the women are more obvious choices like Angelina Jolie and Kate Moss; however, Glamour also chose peeps that have made some questionable fashion choices in the public eye. We here at Glam Damn It have a few we’d like to applaud, and other’s that, well, we just keep getting second-hand embarrassment for- as far as their fashion sense goes!
As announced Friday in WWD, the latest face to front a Balenciaga fragrance campaign is none other than Kristen Stewart. And it seems Stewart was natural choice for the design house.
“[The actress] is the perfect choice as she embodies Nicolas Ghesquiere’s unique vision for the second chapter in our fragrance history”, boasts Balenciaga CEO Isabelle Guichot. Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquiere adds that Stewart “...embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence."
And if anyone should know, it would be Ghesquiere. The pair has previously worked together in 2006, during a project which was shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber. The actress has also been dressed in Ghesquiere's creations throughout the years, during red carpet and other events.
Now that the excitement and buzz over the release of Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 1, Twi-hards have directed their attention to: the dress. Seriously, the anticipation for this wedding rivals that of actual nuptials taking place this year: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, K and K Kardashian, Gene and Shannon Simmons--finally. We have to say, we were impressed. It couldn’t have been an easy task to create the perfect wedding dress for Bella’s inherent beauty juxtaposed with her undeniable awkwardness. But what this dress really conveys is her simplicity that will soon give way to the sexy sultriness of the Cullen clan. According to the saga.
On and off-screen lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gotten themselves a sweet London pad!
The Twilight lovebirds have rented a nice, high-priced apartment in Notting Hill. There are scant details about the new place, but what we do know is it is a modern styled apartment, using a lot of nude color shades, with an amazing rooftop deck and incredible views of the London city skyline. We are so jealous of Kristen! Well, obviously for more reasons other than her cool new apartment like, um...her HOT roommate!
The couple chose the apartment because of its perfect location. Not only is it in the same area for their stop for the Breaking Dawn tour, It's also really convenient for Kristen because she is currently filming Snow White and the Huntsman in London as well.
Surely, Rob enjoys spending some time in London, being it is where he was born and raised. We think it's sweet that Rob will be able to share with Kristen what it was like for him to grow up in there.
We wish them the best with their new apartment in the beautiful (and cozy!) Notting Hill area. Again, feel free to express your jealousy.
[Insert a Darth Vader style "Noooo!"] I've been waiting for the new Twilight movie for months now. Sadly, I must admit, I got Twilighted last Christmas when I was sitting around gluttonous and bored back home in California. So we fired up the DVD player and I caught up on all the Bella/Edward action in about 6 hours flat. No, they're not the greatest movies of all time, but they have entertainment value and you gotta admit, it's a pretty damn good love story. While Kristen Stewart tends to be as wooden and emotionless as a no. 2 pencil, the storyline is so good, the movie-goer can grin and bear it...usually.
During last night’s MTV Movie Awards, we saw all of our favorite celebrities decked out in their best Award-worthy outfits. We saw everything from ball gowns to mini dresses to even rompers, and we loved them all (for the most part!). Some of the major trends highlighted were lace, animal print, and metallic designs. Here are our top 15 favorite looks from this year’s event...
1. Selena Gomez’s Giambattista Valli-designed look topped our list. The Disney starlet opted for light, summery-toned separates and a clutch designed by Cecilia. She told MTV's red carpet reporter and Project Runway alum Christian Siriano that as soon as she saw the trendy, but age-appropriate look, she was sure it the one!
As usual, the Twilight franchise sweeps through the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday 06/05/11. Five awards to be exact.
Who would want to miss an event that boasts stars such as Shia LaBeouf, Selena Gomez, Ashton Kutcher, etc? Apparently, anyone that has actually seen the Awards these past few years. Face it, the once-groundbreaking annual show has been a nonstop snooze fest for a long time now. The Movie Awards were not incredibly terrible this year; however, the predictability of the winners, the lack of musical performances (this is a music channel, right?), and overall efforts to "shock” the audience were lackluster.
Girls, looks like Rob is back on the market...
Things have been pretty difficult for the pair since February. The rumor has it that their busy schedules forced them, especially with Robert busy promoting his latest movie with Reese Witherspoon Water for Elephant.
A source told U.K's Daily Mirror that "things have been a bit rocky for a while. They both have hectic work schedules, Rob in particular at the moment, and their phone calls were getting fewer and further between."
"They started to only see each other on set and began to drift apart until a general apathy developed.
"The excuses why they couldn’t meet up basically got weaker and weaker, and Rob figured they should officially cool things off and have some time to figure out what they each want.
The pair is still working together on the last Twilight installment Breaking Dawn.
From his relationship with Kristen Stewart to Charlie Sheen, Robert Pattinson opens up in the interview he gave to Vanity Fair. Here's what he has to say.
- On dating Stewart: "When this is over, the media will lose interest. There'll be nothing to say. It won't fit into a headline anymore. It won't fit into a template."
- On Stewart as an actress: "She's cool. Even before I knew her I thought she was a really good actress. Like, I saw Into the Wild, and I thought she was really good in that. I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is."
2010 was an excellent year for the Twilight actress.
First, she's dating one of the cutest guys in the world, Robert Pattinson.
Second, Stewart was ranked number one in Vanity Fair's Hollywood Top 40. She raked in more than any actress in Hollywood last year, totaling $28.5 million overall.
She takes the lead to Jennifer Aniston ($24.5) and Angelina Jolie ($23.5).
But Stewart still has a long way to go to equal men actors...
The number one is Johnny Depp who earned $100 million in one single year. He's followed by Leonardo DiCaprio ($62 million), Adam Sandler ($34 million), Taylor Lautner (($33.5 million) and Robert Downey Jr. ($31.5 million).
