It has always been a fashion rule for women to primarily wear dresses and skirts to events, however, celebs such as Rihanna and Leighton Meester think other wise. Leighton Meester was seen back at work today filming for Gossip Girl after a nice long hiatus. Despite the scorching New York City heat, the actress remained professional and braved the weather to shoot scenes for the hit TV show's fifth season.
The 25 year-old stunner looked amazing on set wearing a bright yellow ensemble. She finished off the getup with a orange bag and pretty yellow pumps. Blair Waldorf may be unbearable at times, but girl never fails to impress with her style. During breaks, Meester takes a breather from portraying the fabulous socialite and prefers to wear comfy flip flops & reading as opposed to shopping & causing mischief in the Upper East Side.
Actress Minka Kelly definitely has a lot to be happy about. Not only was she named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive last October, she also has a thriving career, not to mention she's dating Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
Beauty, success, a hot man...no wonder Leighton Meester wanted Minka all to herself in The Roommate.
She has appeared on guest spots on television as well as lead roles in NBC's Friday Night Lights and will be co-starring on ABC's new nadaptation of Charlie's Angel in the fall. As for film, the star, in addition to others, was featured in (500) Days of Summer, starred in The Roommate, and appeared alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in Just Go With It.
During last night’s MTV Movie Awards, we saw all of our favorite celebrities decked out in their best Award-worthy outfits. We saw everything from ball gowns to mini dresses to even rompers, and we loved them all (for the most part!). Some of the major trends highlighted were lace, animal print, and metallic designs. Here are our top 15 favorite looks from this year’s event...
1. Selena Gomez’s Giambattista Valli-designed look topped our list. The Disney starlet opted for light, summery-toned separates and a clutch designed by Cecilia. She told MTV's red carpet reporter and Project Runway alum Christian Siriano that as soon as she saw the trendy, but age-appropriate look, she was sure it the one!
While some were enjoying a V-Day dinner, other were enjoying the Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 runway show in New York. Leighton Meester was one of them.
The actress/singer had a little chat with the designer before enjoying front row seats to the show with Vanessa Hudgens, Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson, Whoopi Goldberg, and Anna Wintour.
The Roomate actress released a song online last week, Front Row, but apparently this is not a brand new song...
"Song leaked :( didn’t consent. No offense nice song but I did it 2 years ago. Can’t wait for you to hear my actual songs", she twitted.

To most of the world, Leighton Meester is no more than Blair Waldorf, the prim and proper sidekick to Serena Van Der Woodsen on Gossip Girl. But if you look closely, Leighton is beautifully poised with perfect features and feminine charm, and she's been acting circles around the rest of the cast for almost four years and counting.

Leighton Meester is finally setting the record straight about her alleged sex tape, claiming it doesn’t exist. The Gossip Girl star, who spoke out about the rumored tape for the first time in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, says: “It makes me sort of sad. It's unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did.”
Meester also talked about how she was learning to deal with the pitfalls of fame, saying: "I don't want a lot of what comes along with all of this. I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news. People think it's real because somebody says it is." There may be no sex tape for Leighton, but maybe the Gossip Girl writers could take some inspiration from the story- we’d love to see Blair get caught out with a scandalous home video …
