LORENZO MARTONE
Lorenzo Martone, Marc Jacobs' significant other (but are we really sure anymore what they are?) is creating his own urban swimwear line called "Nycked". Avoiding the usual sunny and floral prints of swimwear, Martone designed Nycked based off the urban swankyness of Manhattan.
The swimwear is designed around colors like steel, gray, black, and accents of red, steering clear of the ubiquitous bright blues, pinks, and multicolor that dominate the beaches- or pools.
The next 10 days in New York shall be quite interesting. Andre Leon Talley, of Vogue, hinted his anticipation of Karl Lagerfeld's arrival - as plenty have been spotting him around the city. Lorenzo Martone, Marc Jacobs' beau, spotted Lagerfeld snapping models donning Fall 2010 Chanel in Soho. It's said one of the models may be Abbey Lee Kershaw. Could this be a campaign?
Perhaps.
When it comes to marriage between Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone it becomes one of two things. EIther:
1. Really annoying, considering rumors have married them a gazillion times and we have more to think about during NYFW other than marriage.
2. Or, buzzing press for Marc Jacobs, since he's going anti-celebrity at his shows now. Simply giving people something to discuss.
Rumors are confirming Marc's Christmas engagement party as the kind-of sort-of wedding that him and Martone really had. We can care less today - and just really hope that they are happy. But, before we throw in the official towel, here is what Marc and Robert, both had to say about the trending topic.
It's nice to see that our predictions about Lorenzo Martone (Marc Jacobs' fiance) weren't too far off - considering that after his link-up with the designer, various self-promotions were promptly in tow. And of course, we can add the parties, celebrities, shows and travel to his list as well - but his plans to start designing soon definitely takes the cake.
Martone, who has been in the works to develop a PR consulting label for models, is rumored to be collaborating on a swimwear line with Bijules jewelry designer, Jules Kim, scheduled to launch next spring.
And though it's all rumors, and Jules will most likely deny any claims, we know there is something astir. Jules wouldn't pass up such an opportunity.
Only time will tell.
Clearly, Marky and Lolo are a fairly popular gay couple. If we would have listened to the gossip roving through the internet, then Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone would've been wedded 2-3 times already - most recently over this holiday season, whilst vacationing in St. Barts. It seems that you can't have a wedding cake at just an engagement party anymore. Just be prepared to either not receive any gifts on the actual wedding day or respond to a bunch of angry "I didn't get invited?" emails - thank you, dear rumors. Well, I'm here to say, be patient America. As delighted as plenty of us are to witness openly gay couples receive so much press and encouraging support - they're still human, and at least give Lorenzo some time to learn Marc's favorite Birkin color.
As avid fashionistas, we sometimes tend to be a little too fanatical, to the max, and we often don't do what the creators of fashion themselves do - take a break! And if you're practicing my mirror image, then you doubless spent your holiday frantically obsession over what everyone else was doing on their holiday. Take Marc Jacobs for instance - sneaking out on Louis Vuitton and their Spring 2010 fur foxtails to lug a green Hermès to the beach in St. Barts with beau Lorenzo Martone. And, though I will leave the unequivocal details of their vacation to Martones' Twitter account - the two couldn't be more lovable. On the other hand, at least they opted to only tweet about their sexual shenanigans, whilst supermodel Lara Stone invited the photogs into a bursting make out session with British boyfriend, David Walliams. The twosome hardly reached up for air during their vacay to Los Cabos, Mexico. I guess Balmain wasn't sticky enough, hmm? And lastly, serving a humble piece of pie, supermodel Kate Moss arrived in Thailand with on-and-off boyfriend, Jamie Hince. Unexpectedly, out of the 3 couples, Moss donned the most clothing, wearing a classic LBD and flirty top. Or maybe we should rather say that she donned clothing for the longest, until it was all-white bikini time. Work, girlfriend!

It usually takes couples a while to announce their wedding date, but not fashion designer Marc Jacobs and Brazilian advertising executive Lorenzo Martone. With just a little over a month into their engagement, the two love birds set a wedding date. At a recent party in NYC, Lorenzo dished on the couple's wedding location: Provincetown, Massachusetts. "Yes, in the summer (in reference to the wedding) — in June, even before summer!" said Martone. The couple plans to have a big blow out bash on the Caribbean island of St. Barthélemy.
