Designer Collabs Worth Waiting (In Line) For

Alice Temperley + John Lewis

If you’re a fan of fashion from across the pond, (and who isn’t) you’ll be as excited as we are to hear this news. Somerset by Alice Temperley will be debuting this fall for British department store John Lewis. The chic London-based brand’s skyrocketing popularity, thanks to a pair of stylish Middletons and red carpet royalty, has us eager to get the looks for ourselves. Launching September 4th (plus additional partywear in October) the line is infused with signature Temperley style, including influences from feminine lace embellishment to tough military hardware. The 60-piece collection boasts reasonably priced apparel and accessories, like dresses from $160, mixed with luxe options like the $1,600 sheepskin coat. Sneak peeks report “sheer paneled two-tone dresses and beaded Indian evening gowns, studded nappa leather handbags and animal print scarves.” (MarieClaire) Luckily, John Lewis ships internationally—let the countdown to Temperley in our closets begins!

Super Mac To The Rescue Of Dull Cosmetics

I still remember my first gift from MAC Cosmetics- a feminely fair shade of pink lipstick, given to me by my oh-so-stylish aunt. That was at the age of 13, and ever since, I have fallen in love with MAC. But I'm not alone. MAC is one of the biggest names in makeup, and is constantly making headlines for new and exciting products- everything from Viva Glam Gaga, the gorgeously shocking blue-pink shade of lipstick that helps fund AIDS research (New version out next month!), to the new Wonder Woman Makeup Collection!

That's right. It was just announced that MAC is launching an expansive line of cosmetics inspired by everyone's favorite super heroine- Wonder Woman! The line comes out February 10th, and it includes bright shades of lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, eye liner, nail laquer, glitter, and eyeshadow quads. To accompany the actual makeup comes an eye brush set, face brush set, and makeup bag.

GLAM DAMN IT M.A.C Cosmetics
Wickedly Wearable

We may love to hate them, but we can't deny that our favorite Disney villians have style. With Cruella's daring green eye-shadow and Maleficent's perfect deep pink lip, we can't help but wonder... did Disney hire a make-up artist?

The makers of M.A.C Cosmetics must have been wondering the same thing by the look of their new Venomous Villains line. Venomous Villains, which hit M.A.C counters this week, is inspired by the looks of four Disney villains.

The villains: Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, the Evil Queen from Snow White, Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians, and Dr.Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, each have their own line of products including lipsticks, lipglosses, nail polish, eye shadows, and much more.

Eastern European by Alexandre Herchcovitch

With substance and color, Alexandre Herchcovitch revealed his Fall 2010 line. Layers of patterned fabric engulfed the runway, each look more ethereal than the last. The designer is alledged to have been deeply moved by Sergei Parajanov's film, "The Color of Pommegranate," and its careful depictions of Eastern Europe. The ecletic feel of the line was translated to hair and makeup by Rolando Beauchamp for Bumble & Bumble, and Phillip for MAC Cosmetics.
