MASTER'S TOURNAMENT

A Tiger's Roar

Tiger Woods' incestuous romps gave sex addiction therapy a national brand and, in another positive light, lit up the Master's Tournament with a rating's increase over last year of 36%. With Mickelson's Green Jacket win, Woods was put on the back burner in on-course scoring, while his off-camera escapades certainly trumped his showmanship on the green. With his adulterous affairs leading in the ratings even before the start of the tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club, his premier reappearance on the links gave the annual leader's a bigger spike than many years prior.

Aw Shucks, Tiger Feels The Love

The ever-changing personality of Tiger Woods reached a turning point today at his live 2:00pm press conference from the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. From robotic to melodramatic to mechanic, we now find our Tiger grinning cheek-to-cheek, feeling warm and cozy in his surroundings under the protective umbrella of Augusta National Golf Club. Woods claims that he is a "better person," after his 45 day trip to sex addiction rehab and hopes his return to the links will reinvigorate his once untouchable appeal. In his first unscripted press conference since his infamous car crash in Florida on Thanksgiving Day, the media gave Woods a bit of a break and asked of his preparedness for his the upcoming tournament and his goals for the future. Tiger, however, did not let the story go unnoticed and actively cycled back into how his treatment has allowed him to have more fun in the sport and slashed away all the lies he had been hiding for years. Once again, and what seems to be a weekly occurrence, we saw a new face of Tiger Woods. This time, he said, the fans have "touched my heart" in their warm welcome at the Master's. Could we see an angry Tiger screaming at a golfing judge next week if he loses his green jacket comeback? I guess we will wait and see!

A Master's Plan From The Tiger

It hasn't been long since I spoke about Tiger Woods' sappy second, third and fourth apologies broadcast on national television. In the week's time that has passed since he shed his carnivorous tears on ESPN, we have heard more tales of newly surfaced indiscriminate text messages and a porn star or two has come clawing out of the woodwork. We've also learned of regal reception Woods himself anticipates at the upcoming Master's Tournament on April 5th. In spite of all that, his beloved caddy blames this series of scandalous sagas on Woods' friendships with basketball legends Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, two skilled players, both on and off the court. It certainly must have been the influence of other athletes which led The Tiger to keep a den of sixteen women at his disposal. As the Master's Tournament begins next Monday at the Augusta National Golf Club, we will wait, yet again, for another woeful interview from Woods as he begins the green jacket showdown with an individual press conference. I am certain to be back next week with a review on what will surely be a repeat performance of the tricks of the scaredy cat.

Woods Returns To Golf

Tiger Woods announced today that he will make a historic return to the game of golf on April 8, 2010 to compete in the Master's Tournament after almost six months of hiding from his media-infused scandal. Woods' public problems began on Thanksgiving Day with a minor car accident outside his Florida home he shares with his wife Elin Nordegren and their two children, which ultimately led to the exposure of dozens of extramarital affairs from across the country. Woods has been undergoing therapy for sex addiction at a treatment center far removed from public life and from his family. The lustful links lover attempted to restore his broken image through a televised address to the PGA on February 19 where he apologized for his behavior in a highly scripted speech.
