MIAMI
Bass-dropping producer and DJ extraordinaire Afrojack made an exciting announcement last night: 15 tour dates have been added to his summer “Jacked” tour!
Afrojack is taking his talents to the electronic music hubs of America, making stops in Miami, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles amongst others.
We're a bit surprised by Afrojack’s choice of adding another New York date, after closing Electric Daisy Carnival last weekend AND playing the afterparty at Pacha. But I suppose the Grammy-winning producer was just craving more of Pacha’s bottle-popping madness, which would explain why he will return to his stomping grounds for another dance-floor rattling performance June 28.
With another great week of Summer Thursdays under our belt, we are thrilled to say that our new weekly party is doing as well as we expected. Our strategic choice of Open Format music, differentiating ourselves and our party from the rest of the beach, is working, as the local party goers and the vacationers frequenting our party are loving it. Our new partnership with SMAC Entertainment and Michael Capponi & Michael Martin is going very well. Our two crowds are mixing seamlessly, creating new synergies and a fun, high energy party every week. Our events at WET & Living Room are creating great buzz around town, giving locals and hotel guests a more relaxed nightlife option. Being able to get a drink in a beautiful, calm setting in Miami beach is rare, however the W property fills this void, and it shows. We are looking forward to seeing everybody out this week for Summer Thursdays at the W South beach. Drinks at WET & Living Room from 10pm-2am. Dancing in WALL 11pm-5am.
It seems like every week a new festival is popping up somewhere around the country. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way, of course. In fact, nothing is more exciting than new festivals, well, almost nothing anyway. For those of you living in Miami, you've got another one on your doorstep. Sure you already have Ultra, but I mean, hey, two is always better than one, right?
The brand-spankin-new UR1 festival is set to hit "Magic City" Dec. 8-9. Not much information is out at the moment, but we'll be sure to keep you posted. For now, join us in compulsively watching this teaser vid's production quality as we wait, fingers crossed, for the lineup announcement. Check back here for the latest news.
Sebastian Ingrosso, one part of Swedish House Mafia, is one of the biggest DJ/producers of our time. For more than a decade, Ingrosso has been spinning some of the most iconic EDM to ever hit the dance floor. Although his solo work can at times be overshadowed by his work with SHM, a supergroup if there ever was one, Ingrosso has quickly built a name for himself without his star studded freinds list.
Beginning his career all the way back in 1999 with Mega Records, Ingrosso quickly carved a niche for his sound. Both in his native Sweden and abroad, his debut album quickly made him a household name.
Man, Miami is quickly becoming one of the go to destinations for any EDM lover craving some awesome clubs and beach parties. With some of the world's best DJs playing just about every night, one might wonder if it hasn't become THE destination. Of course, if EDM isn't your thing, plenty of rock acts are heading to Miami in May as well, so don't worry. Here is a list of some of the shows we thought you'd be interested in. As always, let me know if I missed anything worth seeing!

Another great Thursday night at the W South Beach, and once again, we're back at it! Joonbug Miami and Smac Entertainment have proved that their new partnership with Michael Capponi and Michael Martin brings some unbelievable energy to the night, and that Summer Thursdays are here to stay! The crowds are really feeling our choice of true "Open Format" sounds that our DJs have been providing, and this week will be no different. We welcome Dijital, a Wall favorite and his first time playing the newly improved Summer Thursdays. Let's just say that excitement is an understatement!
More than just WALL, Summer Thursdays are excited that WET (Poolside at W South Beach) is really picking up steam. And if you needed a 3rd option, don't forget to grab a drink inside the hotel lobby at Living Room, where one of their mixologists can whip you up one of their signature custom cocktails.

Steve Forest and Nicola Fasano, the duo behind Pitbull’s smash hit, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” are quite the production couple. The Italian pair with a Latin flair started creating music together at a young age and have succeeded both as solo artists and collaborators. Their resume includes managing their own record label and production company (Jolly Roger - Sound of Pirates); collecting ASCAP awards (the pair won Ascap Latin Award for ‘Best Urban Latin song’, Ascap Pop Award for ‘Best Pop song’ and an Ascap Rhythm & Soul Music Award for ‘Best R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel Music song’ in 2009) and remixing the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Alex Guadino, Bob Sinclair, Eric Morillo and Roger Sanchez. On the production end they've worked with stars such as Chris Willis, Kat DeLuna and Pitbull and have collaborated with singers like Max C and Katherine Ellis.
Last week's launch of Summer Thursdays at The W South Beach was amazing and this week we are back at it, bigger and better! With Joonbug Miami and Smac Entertainment's newly formed partnership with Michael Capponi and Michael Martin, summer Thursdays are a force to be reckoned with. With last week's proof that our concept of a true "open format" musical direction inside WALL is the right move, this week we welcome world - renowned and Miami favorite, DJ IRIE.
More than just WALL, Summer Thursdays is excited to have WET (Poolside at W South Beach) up and running in full force. This week we welcome back resident DJ's Ryan Jove and Andres Fresko, who play the perfect blend of lounge / house music to set the right tone and Miami's most beautiful outdoor pool space.
If that's not enough, don't forget to grab a drink inside the hotel lobby at Living Room, where one of their mixologists can whip you up one of their signature custom cocktails.

There is perhaps no other instituion on Collins avenue more symbolic of the South Beach renaissance that occurred in the 90's than The Delano. Ahead of the game back then, the iconic Philippe Starck-designed hotel continues to be ahead of the curve by periodically reinventing itself, which usually includes changing up some of the restaurants. One of the newer additions to the hotel's dining options is Bianca, an Italian restaurant that opened with a typical SoBe bang this past January and seems to continue to do well.
The fare at Bianca consists of that brand of Italian cuisine that become to be a trademark of Miami Beach dining - closer to the Italian cuisine eaten in Italy than to the red sauce, spaghetti and meatballs Italian-American cuisine that the rest of the country is probably more familiar with - which translates into homemade pastas, fresh seafood, and light antipasti. Starting on Mother's Day, Bianca will be "putting the B in brunch" with a spread that includes Italian delicacies alongside much-loved brunch staples. Menu offerings will include a selection of sushi and rolls from Umi Sushi & Sake Bar, which took the place of Blue Sea, as well as a selection of chilled shellfish, Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters, and caviar. The buffet will also include an array of charcuterie, prosciutto, and artisan salumi alongside signature homemade Bianca pastas. Of course, no brunch buffet is complete without the requisite omelet and Belgian waffle stations, and in true brunch buffet form, Bianca will also be offering a carving station featuring rosemary prime rib. The restaurant's head pastry chef will also be offering his dessert and pastry creations.
She gave birth to you, she raised you, she loved you, and if you're lucky, she probably cooked for you, too. Mothers are, without a doubt, extremely important. While we should be good children and celebrate our mothers every day of the year, it is on Mother's Day that we go all out and really show our appreciation to that woman who did so much for us. While Mother's Day celebrations are only limited by one's imagination, it seems as if the consensus is that a lavish brunch in in order....at least that's the idea that Miami's many restaurants offering Mother's Day brunches are seemingly pushing. Here are few suggestions that stand out:
