MICHAEL JACKSON
The most exciting news from across the pond this week has got to be the announcement that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant! Princess Kate is in her early stages of her pregnancy and was hospitalized for three-days for severe morning sickness. Her condition has many speculating that the duchess might be carrying twins, since this appears to affect mothers who carry twins more frequently than a mother carrying one baby. Her highness in not even 12-weeks apparently but the news has everyone in the media buzzing and celebs and dignitaries alike are sending their congradulatory messages to the happy couple.
Anyone who grew up in the 80s remembers the lunchbox with matching thermos, the red leather jacket, and of course, moonwalking everywhere you go. In the years to follow, Michael Jackson would become an international superstar despite the controversies that would conjure up images of a strange mix of characters that became associated with "The King of Pop." With 2012 marking the 25th anniversary of the 5th best selling album of all time, the Sept. 18th release of '"BAD 25" hopes to take us back in time and shift our focus back to what was really important; the music.
In addition to a re-mastered version of the original album, the two-disc set will contain demos from early recording sessions, remixes by NERO and Afrojack along with previously unreleased demos of songs that were not included on the final version. A deluxe version of the release will include a highly anticipated DVD of MJs 1988 performance at Wembly Stadium (oftened cited as being one of the best performances of his career), as well as a third disc containing audio from the same show. Furthermore, a special edition box set will include the above, 2 booklets of never before seen photos and a two-sided poster. As if all this wasn't enough, a stand alone 12" vinyl LP picture disc is also available.
A Spike Lee documentary of the same name, recently debuted at the Venice International Film Festival, takes an in depth look at the behind the scenes process of making the multi-platinum classic. "This is a time to just concentrate on the music- the genius of Michael Jackson, a chance to dig into his creative process," said Spike Lee in a press statement. "We all are blessed with the final work, but it's rare that you see how something was put together. We just see the final product but we dont see the blood, sweat, and tears, all the work that goes into how the masters work".

MONDAY JUNE 25th
Fourth Annual Remember The Time Michael Jackson Tribute with DJ Cassidy
When: 7-11pm
Where: The Darby, 246 West 14th Street.
Amidst a busy touring schedule, we were able to grab an exclusive with one of EDM's biggest emerging young DJs, Alesso. Calling on the attention from peers such as Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, we find out why Alesso is a name that we'll keep watching for Years.
Angela Samartano: MTV News recently named you one of their "Rookies to Watch in 2012." How did you first get your start in the electronic dance music scene?
Alesso: I got a CD from one of my closest friends. There was some house music on it and fell in love with it. I couldn't get enough and eventually started making my own music.
With the eerily realistic resurrection of Tupac via hologram at Coachella this past weekend, we couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to see more of our favorite lost legends come back to life. What we'd pay to see them in the flesh (kinda) once more! This is an open letter to the Hologram Gods, here's a list of icons you need to get to work on next. Chop chop.

Eric Dill is the former lead singer for the popular band Click Five. He has since ventured out into a solo career and we got a chance to snag him for an interview about his upcoming album. Get the scoop below!
Joonbug: How has it been transitioning from a member of a band to a solo career? What do you like and dislike about it?
Eric Dill: My artistic endeavors, when considered, have always been born of my own volition. I have found players my whole life to perform with but never felt artistically connected or bound to them. My best collaborative efforts are in live performance, songwriting and production and this I enjoy doing a la carte. As an artist, nothing is more deadening than being controlled. To become a music entity beyond myself would be tying my hands and diluting vision.
In 2010, Paris Jackson made an announcement in a video chat to friends stating the MJ album released in the wake of the singer's death didn't contain MJ's actual voice ... it was an impersonator!
Back in 2007, a song called "Mamacita" made the rounds with people thinking it was a new MJ track. Turned out it was done by a guy named Jason Malachi, who is well-known for sounding just like the King of Pop. In 2011, Jason Malachi was quoted saying "It was me. It was me who sang Breaking News, Keep Your Head Up, Monster, and Stay. I had a agreement with the record company, but now the cat is out of the bag. Sorry to all my fans, and fellow Michael Jackson fans." Since then, rumors have swirled about it actually being Jason not MJ on the album 'Michael."
Everyone look out for Paris Jackson .....this is it!
Yesterday, the legendary music icon's 13-year-old stopped by Ellen to talk about getting her first role in Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys.
Paris talked about her love for acting and her admiration for her father's childhood role in the Moonwalk.
She revealed, "My dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn't know he could act. I saw that and I said, "Wow, I want to be just like him."
Even though she's got big shoes to fill, she's already on the right track with the help of MJ. "He would go 'OK, in this scene, you're going to cry.' And I'd cry on the spot!"
