Our favorite fashion bloggers and street style photographers have our back when it comes to letting us know what’s up next when it comes to trends. It is their (very awesome) job to show us what the fashionable people of the world are wearing on the streets. That way we can take the ideas home and copy the crap out of them!
See our top three choices for this week in fashion:
Peplum Tops
Judging by the blogs this week, the peplum trend isn’t going anywhere. Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere displayed this look with an adorable pink peplum top from H&M. We also saw the trend on Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, as well as Delmy from Fashion Bananas. Try it yourself with this sleeveless version by Anthropologie.
The Little Black Dress (LBD) is something that can be found in every woman's closet because it’s a timeless piece that always comes in handy at one point or another. Whether it’s at the office, or on the streets, the LBD definitely speaks volumes and is a crucial essential no matter what your style is. This summer however, we are switching out our LBD for the Little White Dress (LWD) and have come up with some fabulous options that are sure to make as much of a statement as your favorite LBD!
Even though bold prints aren't exactly a new trend (they were all over Fall 2011 runways), designers have really made bold design shine this spring and summer, too! High-end designers, boutiques, and commercial stores have placed bold prints on their must-have lists this season, weaving intricate, geometric, origami, and animal inspired prints that decorate tops and bottoms into their spring and summer merchandise.
Bold prints have come out looking edgier and more chic this season than ever before. We’re taking more chances as shoppers, buying unique and stylish pieces and designers are feeding our frenzy by creating bolder, edgier, and abstract looks.
If we could use three words to describe the designs by Eva Franco, we wouldn’t be able to narrow it down as each and every piece emphasizes its girly style in a whole new and unique way. From her fantastic use of silk and chiffon on blouses, to her floral, leather and lace-filled skirts, this designer has hit the nail on the head when it comes to dressing all different characters of women.
Though Eva Franco was a Transylvania native, after moving to the states she quickly realized her talent and turned her dream into reality by opening up shop in L.A. We love the girly looks that are showing up everywhere this spring and if there is one place to find this style, it is via Eva Franco. There’s a certain 1950’s Mad Men-meets-modernity to some of her designs, while others contain a structured look with urban street-chic appeal. This aspect, along with her wide range of price points ($60-$500), has helped in creating a brand that is appealing to all, and accessible to most.
If the new release of 'New Year's Eve' starring Sarah Jessica Parker has not put you in the New Year's party spirit, these dresses sure will. We understand not everyone has the budget of Ms. Parker, but that doesn't mean your NYE should be any less glamorous! New Year's Eve is the one time during the winter a woman is SUPPOSED to under dress in her most festive outfit to ring in the New Year. It isn't brain surgery to find a dress, but sometimes finding the perfect ensemble in the wave of endless options can be grueling. Everyone has their own preference; whether it's sequins, prints, color blocking or black, so here are four, affordable picks that are sure to help you narrow down your options!
No matter how much you may miss summer nothing beats sliding your feet into a sexy comfortable pair of boots. Lets face it, boots are a statement accessory, stable, comfortable and get you where you need to be in style. You can also never have too many pairs of them! (Or any shoe for that matter.) So here are so more of our boot picks for this fall!
Kicking in fall with these "Raise the Sails" Mod Cloth boots secure absolute comfort, transparent enough to match almost anything in your closet yet elegant and unique enough to stand out.
If you have not pulled together your perfect look for tonight, we have you covered! Fashion's Night Out is the time to shop (and party!) at your favorite New York City stores while enjoying the company of some truly hot celebrities. A pregame for NYFW, Fashion's Night Out is the time to show off your sense of style and, if you're lucky, meet a few fashionable people along the way and leave with a keepsake autograph. No matter how long you've prepared, it's like planning a 21st birthday party, you're never ready! Before you tear out your luscious locks - we've put together a few chic, glam, and sexy looks to get you noticed this evening!
I love Tory Burch ballerina flats as much as the next person. However, with so many ballerina-style flats on the market, they've got a girl wanting something different --some variety! I guess we can call it "ballet burn-out." As much as we love shoes, we can only have so many pairs/colors of the same style. Frankly, we're bored.
On a mission for originality, we went looking for the most stylish, unique flats we could find. It's not as easy as you would think! Stores are so flooded with ballerina styles, I don't think they realize there are other kinds of flats out there. We're glad the oxford trend is here, as designers are picking up on it and giving us more flat options (woo-hoo!). So move over (for now) stilettos and ballerinas, there are new styles in town!
