On Sunday, May 13 at 8 pm, four-time Grammy Award nominee and R&B icon Charlie Wilson and Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling recording artist Fantasia Barrino will perform a special Mother’s Day concert at The Paradise Theater in the Bronx, NY. Joonbug had the chance to catch up with Uncle Charlie and find out why he got involved in this event and what his future plans are!
How did you get involved in this event and what made you want to be a part of it?
The day after Mother's Day brings mamas another day to celebrate...er, themselves! The League of Professional Theatre Women are presenting The Legacy Project, a tribute to pioneering female producers and the foremothers of the American stage at the Martin E. Segal Theatre. The program is offering a day of symposia on great figures in theatre such as Eva Le Gallienne, Margo Jones, Susan Glaspell, Lucille Lortel, Cheryl Crawford, Margaret Webster, and Hallie Flanagan.
