NEW
It's the ultimate house party and it's our pleasure to introduce you to the new Mansion 360. The 40,000 square foot Miami mega-club was recently redesigned from floor to ceiling with unprecedented lighting and sound systems and an edgy new façade. The city of Miami Beach even declared Saturday, January 21st "Mansion Day" as the club reopened its doors to kick off a two day electro-fest deemed "Deadmau5 unhooked."
True to the new 360 concept, the DJ booth has been relocated to the center, promising guests a great performance no matter where they are on the dancefloor. Mansion goes beyond simple bottle service with the new VIP scene, complete with a full private bar with ample tables and seating, all in the shadow of world-renown DJs.
It’s that time again. The credits have rolled on another weekend and it feels like the next one is light years away. Mondays don’t have to be so gloomy though. Here are some fun and inexpensive ways to get through work week day one and start sailing to next weekend.
Lunch Time Pampering
Surely there must have been something that happened over the weekend that needs to be told in person. Skip the take-out and actually leave the office. Schedule a lunch time manicure with a friend. This will this cut your endless Monday into two manageable parts. If you make this a weekly ritual, you may actually look forward to Mondays.
Wear a New Outfit
Plan out an amazing set of threads to dress in on Monday. The excitement and feeling of looking spectacular will leave you buzzed with energy all day. By the time you realize it, the day will be over and you will be thinking of when you can wear it again, not how many more hours you need to work.
Happy Hour
Most after work watering holes are empty Monday nights since people just want to get home and put the first day behind them. As a result, a lot of bars and restaurants have great Monday specials. Make a plan with some friends to try a new place every Monday evening. If it happens to be football season, pick a place that is showing the game, and maybe you’ll even score a date for Tuesday.
Go On a Lunch Date
Make a plan to meet that awesome guy from Friday night for lunch on Monday. Lunch dates are the perfect first date. They are shorter than dinner, so you won’t feel trapped if your memory was playing tricks on you. Since they are longer than coffee, you will have enough time to decide on date two. Even if the date is bad, you can still have fun emailing your friends about it Monday afternoon.
Take a Fun Class
The gym routine can get old. Rather than the usual cardio kickboxing class on Mondays, sign up for a fun class. Salsa dancing can be exciting and help burn off those late night Saturday drinks. If dancing isn’t your forte, try art or join a book club. There are classes and groups for anything you can imagine. Stop procrastinating and sign up for something today.
Mondays are always around the corner. Rather than dreading them, use the opportunity to do something fun. There are numerous of activities you can do to get through the day. Always remember, the faster Monday ends, the sooner Friday comes.

Nobody living in New York is completely immune to the lower east side’s charms and with restaurants like Macondo (and its older upscale sister Rayuela) why would you dare try? Macondo aims to bring Latin American street food to an elevated forum for its patrons to enjoy.
From the street, just the look of Macondo is enticing. The bar is just big enough for a party of five (no pun intended) and has a few seats hedging the outside (prime real estate during cocktail hour). The dining room stretches back, resembling the dimly lit aisles of a 747, and is decorated by old wooden shelves stocked with Latin staples (like canned chilies).
The final years in the life of Johnny Cash are arguably some of his most prolific. The songs featured on the American Recordings series offer some of the deepest insight into the mind of one of the greatest songsmiths in music history. What was thought to be the last of the series, the posthumously released American V: A Hundred Highways, has been revealed to be a precursor to American VI: Ain’t No Grave, which is to be released on February 26, the 78th anniversary of his birth. The songs on Ain’t No Grave were recorded in the final waning years of his life and include the track “I Corinthians: 15:55” which is said to be the last song that Cash ever wrote.
Commemorating forty years since the passing of the greatest guitar player in music history, a “new” album of unheard Jimi Hendrix songs will be released on March 9. Valleys of Neptune is a compilation of rare recordings made by Hendrix in the years prior to his death which, as of yet, have never officially been available for purchase. The album’s title track will be released as its first single on February 2, Groundhog’s Day.
While several posthumous albums were put out in the years directly following his death, this is the first official album of unheard material released since 1974. There have been numerous bootleg recordings during the interim, but a majority of those have been identified as low-quality demo recordings or electronically altered live recordings. Valleys of Neptune, however, is a series of songs recorded by Hendrix himself in studios in the U.S. and England. The tracks were either cut from the three albums that he made while still alive, or they were in the process of being compiled into his next project before his unfortunate death.
M.I.A. has made a name for herself by successfully pushing the boundaries of established music criteria, whether that be pop, hip-hop, indie, or whatever label critics try to pigeonhole her into. She recently announced to the world that music fans can expect a follow-up to her chart busting A-bomb of an album, Kala, with a new disc of tracks that will be even more engrossed in musical concentration than anything that she has ever done previously. If you have been paying any attention at all last year, this is the album that longtime M.I.A. collaborator Diplo called “Gucci Mane meets Animal Collective.” With a statement like that from someone with the kind of avant-garde versatility as Diplo, this new album is something that anybody looking for hope for the future of the music industry can get behind.
