I must confess I never thought of saving earth by going to a club before. I first heard of the Greenhouse club because it was a gorgeous, fancy place. Then I realised how special this space is. It is nothing but he first eco-friendly, LEED* registered nightclub in New York designed by Nightlife impresario Jon B.
Check out these amazing lights ! This is something between Alice in Wonderland and Saturday Night Fever. Every thing is recycled and can be recycled as you can see.
LEED certification of Greenhouse nightclub is a designation granted by the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design whereas:
- Everything from building materials and garbage disposal, energy and water usage are regulated and reduced.
- Walls and floors are made of sustainable bamboo.
- LED light bulbs are used which use 1/13th of the energy of a regular light bulb.
- Staff uniforms are made in Africa by Edun, a clothing company owned by Bono and his wife, Alison Hewson.
- Electricity for the sound system and the rest of the club is 100% wind-powered.
- Even the toilets save 15,000 gallons annually.
Although I have yet to find anyone who has actually tried CIROC vodka, P Diddy (one of my favorite people in the world) and E! Entertainment have deemed it "The Official Vodka Of New Years Eve." We all know, nothing with the world "official" comes without a contest, and here you have it.

This New Year’s Eve Party will be hosted at STK! STK is amongst the trendiest and most elite clubs from the creative minds of The One Group. With its velvet-roped exclusivity, you can easily dance the night away in the main room or retire to the upper level suites for a few drinks and relax while enjoying the hottest remixes.
The summer won't officially be over for another week when we all have to stop wearing white in fear the fashion fairy will fall out of the sky and turn us into a knockoff Chanel handbag (gasp). And, speaking of Chanel, it wouldn't be the start of the fall season without the rumor mill of New York Fashion Week whirling up and down 5th Avenue. I'm hopeful for many things, as I always am as fashion week nears. I expect to see color blocking in its best, PR companies scrambling to douse the thirst of their celebrity clients and, of course, Grace Coddington and Anna Wintour glaring at the models as they come down the runway. I also hope that the bedbugs that are plaguing New York City stay away from Lincoln Center. It would be a dreadful sight to see the girls bit up and itching as they model next season's collections.
